Duncan Murray wines is always a pleasure to visit. The staff are friendly and helpful, the choice of wines is wide and I always find something new to try. I particularly enjoy the Greek and Portuguese wines which I have not found elsewhere. I think the shop makes a really positive contribution to the reputation of the town as a great place for quality shopping and they deserve to win the competition.

Duncan Murray Wines is a wonderful business that not only provides great wines, spirits and beers but supports numerous community projects and groups. The staff are friendly without being overly sycophantic and are willing to give expert advice on their numerous products - advice which one doesn't receive when confronted by the confusing shelves of choice in supermarkets. They are a great team and an exemplar of what local shops and businesses are all about- being embedded in the community.

This a great local business which we have been frequenting since it opened. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and always happy to provide some banter. They have a good range of wines, spirits and beers and a range of prices to suit every pocket. The addition of the wine bar has been a bonus, it is a lovely place to meet with friends while sampling the goods!We are huge fans of their tasting nights and attend the Winter tasting every year. Saturday lunchtime we often find an excuse to pop in and taste what is on offer - usually leading to a purchase or two for the evening tipple. I know the owners are passionate about their business and it is truly reflected in the quality of the service received.

Duncan Murray Wines is a fantastic place to both shop and enjoy a drink - the pop up bar is great for trying top quality wines in a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The whole team are not only knowledgeable and enthusiastic but they are also passionate about passing that enthusiasm on to their customers. It really matters to them that I enjoy what I buy. There is no better place to shop.

I've been going to Duncan Murray Wines for something like twenty years and in all that time I've never been disappointed. Always a warm welcome, friendly personal service. These people really know their business and are passionate about what they do. They offer a great range of really interesting wines (beers and spirits too) and give very helpful advice on what to buy. The free Saturday morning tastings give the opportunity to explore and learn more about the wines on offer and sometimes to talk to the winemakers themselves. And now there is also the pop-up wine bar, a weekday evening treat. The team also involve themselves in the general life of the town, helping to make it the great place it is. My favourite shop!
