What an absolute Gem, I came here for my birthday for a meal with my wife, the steak was the best I have had in a long time.
Lovely friendly staff and nothing too much trouble, definitely recommend this pub, we sat outside beautiful surroundings and relaxed atmosphere.

Just back from celebrating our dear friends 25th wedding anniversary at the Black horse. They had put on a scampi and crispy chicken breast strips with chips and salad buffet and chocolate cake. The food and service were absolutely fantastic. The young girl who served me was a treasure. My little dog was made very welcome too. Totally recommended this place.

The Black Horse was our wedding reception venue in September 2021 and it was perfect. Claire, Daniel and their fabulous team made so much effort to make our day amazing...from the delicious food to the service and decorations. They thought of everything and the day couldn't have gone any smoother. All of our guests had a blast and had nothing but good things to say about the pub. I will be forever grateful to Claire for organising and planning our special day. I would definitely say to anyone getting married in Foxton Church to think about having the reception at the pub. The guests loved how easy it was to cross the road to the reception and start relaxing and celebrating straight away. The setting is lovely and perfect countryside background for the photos. Nothing was compromised in any way, we had all the things you need for a traditional wedding, a stunning three course dinner, cake, speeches, garden games on the lawn and a disco in the evening. It was a perfect wedding!
