I've never been to Da Vinci's before, but I have always wanted to go. So when I was invited, I jumped at the chance. Foyer was soleless, as you walked in and not sure if none customers would use their toilet facilities. Restaurant was up stairs, which was one open plan room and was like a canteen, with bright lighting. Maybe screens to section the room and more mood lighting would improve this space.
You were given a friendly welcome and staff were very attentive. The menu was extensive, with an excellent choice of dishes, at good prices. Good choice of drinks and also priced well. Service was quick and meals arrived. I ordered the Duck Da Vinci, which was a duck breast in a sauce. The dish was swamped in the sauce, which was dark brown, really didn't look appealing. The duck was cooked to perfection, the sauce was nice, there was just too much of it. On the whole a good night out and a pleasant surprise when the bill arrived. I would return, but probably wouldn't pick anything with a sauce.
