Great family day out. We booked in advance and saved a few £s per ticket which was good (still cost us £100 for a family of 4).
Parking was free and plenty of spaces (although crossing the road is an accident waiting to happen).
Lots of refreshments throughout the park (fairly reasonably priced).
The dinosaur park is excellent, great animatronics and great for the kids, with lots of decent photo opportunities. The dinosaur train is an extra £2 per person, ok for younger kids perhaps but personally I’d give it a miss next time.
We stopped at the restaurant near the start for lunch and actually was pleasantly surprised, food was decent (except the chicken pasta salad, definitely avoid that), quickly prepared and relatively reasonable (£30 for 4 of us).
Then we entered the zoo, nice and easy to navigate around, pretty sure we didn’t miss any enclosures either. The animals all looked well cared for, but the enclosures in my opinion were far too small (reason for the 4 stars). The sun bears were just continuously pacing and didn’t look particularly happy. The lion enclosure was the size of my garden, and just didn’t seem large enough for these beautiful animals.
Overall, a great day out, would definitely return and recommend it 😊.
