The hotel is pleasant, the staff are very good. The bedrooms are very nice, larger than expected and comfortable especially at this price point. The bistro menus has improved greatly since the new menu was introduced in the Autumn.

I spoke with Gary who couldn’t of been more helpful whilst advising me on a gear box issue. He didn’t try to get me to have any work done either he was just more than happy to offer his sound advice which was greatly appreciated. Clearly a very genuine individual. Definitely a place to consider if experiencing gear box issues.

I had architects drawings which were a waste of time and I panicked thinking I couldn't fit staircase into loft conversion avoiding new steels. Mark and Simon came round, measured up and said they could make stairs to fit. It was very tight but can say it works after having them installed today. 100% recommended

It was a spare of the moment thing, booked on booking. com the hotel/pub was very warm and welcoming. The food we had was good the room was lovely complete with exposed beams, the bed was very comfortable. My only sort of complaints were breakfast not being served until 8:30 am (which I think was a little late) and the bath was a little worn but they were miner compared to the rest of the stay and yes I would stay again.
