This day out has a bit of everything from countryside walks, riverside area, cafe, sculptures and famous pieces of art. There is something to do both on rainy days and sunny days, and both for the kids and for the grown-ups.
Spring is a great time for Bank Holidays, with no fewer than 4 in quick succession, meaning longer weekends, lazy days and fun for people all over Norwich and Norfolk.
Every weekend is different. Some busy, some quiet, some at home, some away. What they all have in common is Friday night. Where it all begins.
Friday 5 July saw the start of the 'Lord Mayor's Celebrations', with events on until Sunday 7 July.
The 2013 Norfolk and Norwich Festival has drawn to a close. Being a city centre resident I saw the 'Festival Gardens' in Chapelfield slowly being dismantled on my Sunday morning jog.
This year I finally had my first ever visits to The Spiegeltent. I know, I know, where have I been! Well, I can tell you where I will be next year. I loved this little jewel which appears in the heart of the city for too short a time each year.
'Fragile' was one of the most anticipated free events in the Norfolk and Norfolk Festival programme this year, being shown on on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May,

With so many exciting events taking place in Norwich this month it is hard to keep up and perhaps easy to miss something spectacular.
Saturday 18 May saw ‘Museums at Night’ open Norwich Castle Museum until 10pm for free!
A ‘mostly’ sunny Sunday afternoon in May. What better way to spend half an hour or so than at one of the many amazing free street performance events, which are part of this year’s Norfolk & Norwich Festival.
I always eagerly await the launch night of the Norfolk and Norwich Festival. The streets come alive as the citizens of Norwich converge on the city centre to enjoy something unusual, different and always spectacular.
