Expensive rooms and relatively clean ( minus under the beds dust/someone's hairbrush/ extra TV remote) , we had been given two tea bags so asked for a few more and they never arrived, did spoil the wake up routine.
Unfortunate to have loud guests in rooms near us slamming doors and shouting all morning.

I’ve visited this Hotel on a number of occasions to use the gym, cafe, pub, and the private function room. I mainly use the gym whenever I visit the area.
It’s conveniently located between Bury and Heywood, just of the M66. The gym is a fair size with a mix of equipment and free weights you’d expect in any gym, they have private trainers too if that’s what you’re looking for. In addition they have organized classes. Changing and shower facilities are always clean and pretty spacious.
After a session it’s nice to have the option of the pub or cafe, depending on what time of day it is ad pond what plans you have with the rest of the day.
Staff are always pleasant and helpful, I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a local gym with decent amenities.

Was attending a function not staying overnight. Its several years since I've been here and it's looking very tired. The staff in the function room were very good and the food not bad.

I have mixed reviews about the Village hotel. Having used the gym and frequented the other facilities, I don’t feel the service always measures up to the ethos The Village Hotel.
This leaves me in a quandary whether I want to continue there or not.

Rooms are a bit basic, but beds are lovely to sleep in, showers are fantastic. Food is good, and prompt service. TV sky availability is poor, needs an upgrade. Overall worth the money.

A thoroughly overpriced and underwhelming hotel. Similar to other examples of this chain. Facilities were good. Room was dark, bed was not uncomfortable. Like most hotels, noise from surrounding rooms and corridor was auidable. Food in the restaurant is only available from 6-10. Room service is also only 6-10. There is a bar, but the food there is limited and not particularly tasty. Perhaps an oversight by the waitress in the restaurant but we were not offered the set menu despite many other tables around us ordering from it, meaning our meal was much more expensive.

Awesome place away from the city noise close to the nature. The best thing is the location. Right at the river banks. The banquet hall is good to. A lot of varieties in food and drink. The gym facilities are also good and the swimming pool is good too. Staff is friendly and co operative. Never ending parking spaces as well. Must visit once.

Lovely place with decent size rooms and very attentive staff. Good size carpark that is free at weekends and to members. Went for a wedding and stayed one night was very impressed. Not too pricey either.

Me and my Mrs stated the Sunday 18/19th of this month.
The care of helping us in anyway was excellent. The hotel itself was lovely, to the rooms, leisure facilities to the excellent outdoor patio, which we used a lot in this weather. Will stay again.

The restaurant is not very cosy, and they had the football on too loud we couldn't hear each other very well, I think they should have another room that's quite especially for the ones who don't like football, WHY do they assume everyone likes it.
Not very keen on the menu either, was mostly Burgers and wraps, not what imagined a place like the Village to be, thought it would be more sophisticated.
