Recently stopped here as part of a Christmas function. Really enjoyed the stay. Staff were friendly. The hotel itself is an older building with a modern 1980s extension. The bar area I found to be very nice and particularly liked the glass foyer which brought natural light into the building and was a nice place to sit. Rooms were comfortable, and warm. Breakfast was superb with a good choice and particularly the coffee which was one of the nicest I have had in any hotel. As others have said there is a need for better maintenance- I could see that some improvements have already been made and much of the carpet looked newly laid and the laminated bed head in the room also looked a new addition and was smart. Some items I noticed needed attention were around general upkeep and decoration; for instance there was a broken light near the rear steps to the car park, a trouser press had been removed from the room but left tatty holes and electrical outlets in the built in wardrobe and there was a rotten pile of decking timber on the flat roof outside the bedroom window which looked unsightly. I hope that the management continue a programme of upgrading as the building is deserving of it and the hotel could really be very pleasant with a bit more attention

Lovely hotel, used recently for conference services. The staff are very friendly especially Irene who looked after us all day. Her customer service is exceptional, credit to the hotel.

Horizon developments have just completed a large double story extension on our property and we cannot recommend them enough.
Mark and Jordan’s work ethic is unbeatable, working 5/6 days a week to finish our project putting in extremely long days. punctual, polite and communicated all the way through their time with us. The site was always clean and tidy and are both very knowledgeable offering their advice and suggestions where ever needed. I would definitely use them again and have already recommended to friends and family. I have had a number of other trades on site including the building inspector commented on how their brick work is the best they have seen. Both of these Gents take a huge amount of pride in their work.

Attended a private function.
Nice hotel, comfy fair sized standard double room nice ensuite, nicely heated.
Plenty of parking.
The "Village" was nice to walk around and some bespoke crafts being made and sold.

Recently purchased a Mercedes GLC Coupe from The Car Co. The whole process was smooth and easy from the start. Given plenty of time to sit in the vehicle, with the keys, to enable familiarisation before the test drive. Assisted by Kes throughout. No problem when said we weren’t sure at first visit, no pressure to buy whatsoever. Easy to arrange a second drive, paid deposit by phone after checking financial situation with bank and was able to collect a few days later. Very easy to deal with and very helpful throughout the whole process. Very good price and excellent deal agreed, no car to part exchange, but was very easy to do, if we had needed this. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone who is looking for a luxury top of the range vehicle, as they have a vast array of vehicles to choose from. First class service and could not rate Kes highly enough.
