We stayed in 3 executive rooms for our family celeration and they were first class. The staff were friendly, without exception, and everything in terms of arrangements for 10 people, was perfect. We had a private room for dinner as we had 3 young children and this was a perfect arrangement suggested by Liam who made our reservation. The service at both dinner and breakfast was spot on and the pool area and sauna were just ideal. If there was one drawback it was that the tea shop , which we used for lunch . They served sandwiches which were not as exciting as the rest of the food at the hotel and were overpriced compared with the otherwise excellent value of this hotel

Had an amazing time here over the weekend so relaxing all the staff, food nd drinks were great. Sent a few hours chilling in the spa and HD a fab 3 course meal in the hotel. Daniel the manager and Alice Julie and Chloe the waitresses were always attentive and smiling. Julie at the courtyard bar was on her own for a while but attended u up everyone efficently.
We stayed in the secret garden area and it was so peaceful.
Also lovely little shop at the back to visit and a pub.
Would highly recommend and will be returning soon.

Came here with my husband for a spa day and afternoon tea. The spa was amazing. The hydrotherapy pool was so relaxing. The treatments were on time and my therapist was good. I had a back and foot massage, both of which were lovely. After the treatments we had afternoon tea in the courtyard. This was a bit disorganised. We waited over 30 mins for the afternoon tea despite already preordering. We also only got our tea after another 15 minutes. However when the afternoon tea came it was delicious.

Would definitely recommend and return for another spa day in the future.

I have been staying at this hotel when travelling to the North for nearly 20 years. It is just out of Bolton so not in a particularly beautiful location for views or wandering around but the hotel itself is a warm welcoming environment with personality and good facilities like a pool to blow away the cobwebs after a long day driving, it is also a great location for visiting anywhere in the North West and serves a nice cooked breakfast! What’s not to like?

We had booked to go th Whitney unfortunately we had to cancel due to ill health (person we were visiting)

So my wife decided to go to the
Last Drop Village and Spa

As we booked so late we got a fantastic deal
We arrived on Tuesday the weather was iffy to say the least. So consequently we arrived early (book in time-wasting 14:00)
So we had a sandwich in the bar
My wife had Ham and I had Beef all was
Plus coffee's
It was excellent

We went into the Spa (I have never been before) It was fantastic large indoor swimming pool, four saunas, one steam room and the HOT TUB looking out no windows and it's snowing

The evening meal was excellent

Soup and Pate
Salmon and Beef
I had to mention the Beef and Gravy separately they were both amazingly good

Breakfast was excellent

Our room was huge two easy chairs and one at the dressing table. Large fitted wardrobe lovely sized bathroom with bath and shower

A great couple of days this looks like it's going to be a regular January lift. The snow was an added bonus

Great service from everyone nothing to much trouble
All the food was excellent

A great big thank you

Dickie :-)

We stayed at the Village hotel for one night (a Friday night). We stayed in a very spacious superior double room. The room was quiet, clean and very nicely decorated.

We had a meal in the hotel restaurant which was reasonably priced and well made- the service was a little slow, but to be expected for a Friday night. The bar was comfortable and also offered a nice relaxing place to sit and have a drink. The breakfast was excellent, though the rashers of bacon were welded together!!

We thought this may just be another bland hotel, but every aspect of the hotel was excellent. We've just stayed in a top De Vere hotel and both said that we'd prefer to stay here again!

Stopped in a twin room for one night with a friend for a couple of pamper/shopping days. Arrived early and was able to go straight into the room. Booked a taxi to Bury which came in a couple of mins had a great time shopping. Back to the hotel and spent a while in the room which was relaxing, nice bathroom too. Had an excellent meal in the restaurant after a drink in the bar. Spent the next day in the swimming pool area after a good breakfast, and had lovely treatments in the Spa. Altogether a most enjoyable time at a great hotel which we got really cheap on the internet. Only complaint was the noise the lift made in the night, would ask to be further away from it next time.

I went here with my husband (i'm 28, he's 35) and we both had a great time. I don't understand how anyone couldn't like this hotel. Looks amazing from the outside- very grand and inside is even grander. Lovely, modern, spacious rooms and the a la carte food in the restaurant was gorgeous. Then there's the pool- wow. It's a big pool, very clean and very well maintained. Sauna and steam room were also good. I liked the fact there was a snack bar as well as a bar with a bar menu and posh restaurant too - offered lots of choice. Found the staff to be really friendly and pleasant too.
There was karaoke in the bar and a good atmosphere which was great.
This was my second visit here and i am sure i will return for a third.

This is typical hotel in the Village chain. Excellent leisure facilities including pool, spa, sauna, gym and squash courts.
The main entrance approach is up a large flight of steps which may be a problem with heavy suitcases. There must easier access from the side but it's not immediately apparent. The car park is large and generally busy with leisure club members' cars.
We booked this hotel through Laterooms.com and managed to get a DB&B for £144 for two nights which is £44 cheaper than the price quoted to us by the hotel booking service.
Handy for a trip to Manchester city centre. A taxi costs about £20 but a cheaper alternative is to use the tram from Bury station. We stayed here after going to a concert at Manchester MEN and a shopping trip to the Trafford Centre and because we like the good economy and usual good service these hotels provide.
Salingers restaurant in the hotel provided us with an excellent evening meal and the breakfast buffet offered a good choice of cooked or cold fare.
The Village Pub is a bit drab. Loud football matches on Sky TV and a smokey atmosphere didn't encourage us to eat in here. We went to the large Pub opposite the hotel and had a decent meal smoke-free when the hotel restaurant wasn't open.
The staff are generally friendly and efficient.
We had to move rooms because the first room had a toilet that wouldn't flush. The second room was ok, though the shower heat control was broken but luckily not too hot and the bed creaked like an old rocking chair! Rooms are spacious and air conditioned with TV and tea/coffee making facilities and the second had a mini fridge.
Modern decor and a comfortable lobby area. I would use this hotel again for any future mini-breaks in the Manchester area.
