Walsall Council is supporting Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence Awareness Week (2–8 February 2026) – the UK’s national week to raise awareness of sexual abuse and violence.
Demolition started in Willenhall in January as part of a major Council-led scheme to get rid of derelict and disused brownfield land and make way for new homes.
The Mayor of Walsall, Councillor Louise Harrison hosted local charity, KaushalyaUK, at the Council House. In late January 2026, the charity held its Mental Health and Domestic Abuse Conference at Walsall Council House.
Walsall residents are being encouraged to brave the big talk this Time to Talk Day (Thursday 5 February 2026) by starting a conversation about mental health, and by knowing where to turn for support if they need it.
