Nice park on the edge of Ulverston. Lots of parking and a nice cafe that serves a range of food.
Used by dog walkers and despite the keep dogs on lead and pick up poo signs you do get a lot of both.

Lovely sunny day went to park on Ford Park prior to visit to Ulverston Food Market.
We decided to try the cafe before heading into Ulverston, the inside of the cafe is light & welcoming, with a good selection on the menu and reasonably priced. We opted for a seat on the terrace with it being sheltered to avoid the slight breeze. The waitress was who served us was friendly, the scone with homemade jam & cream was delicious.
Will definitely go back next time I am in Ulverston.

We called in at the cafe after climbing to the Hoad monument and ordered hot chocolate and a scone to share. We enjoyed both. We also loved the community gardens and the yarn bombed items which were fun. The whole set up is rather nice and definitely worth a visit.

We were "forced" to find a coffee and reviving cake break after millions (about 10) cows were reluctant to move away from the gate so we could walk up the Hoad. Being townies with a dog in tow we decided to wait till they moved on and we are glad we did, service for snacks was great and we could smell the all day breakfast being cooked - but stayed strong!
Find time to go and look at the community garden with knitted flower and vegetable decorations, I understand the venue can also be booked for events including weddings, great fun.

Excellent value, service & quality of food prepared using local produce hand picked from the community garden. A praise worthy idea to involve the community. Well Done

Had a fab meal at the Coach House in Ford Park Ulverston, The food was excellent and local beers not to bad but were bottled. Service was a little slow with vegetables and gravy coming well after the main. Quality of food was excellent though, service needs to be a little more slick. Well done though!! The park itself is very nice with a nice walk around and is a good facility for the town

I was very suprised to find out what Ford Park has to offer. There is a fantastic adventure play area that also has a wire slide and it was great just watching all the kids have so much fun.
The park field was being used by many people playing with their dogs. How nice it was to see a place where you were not being told to stay off the grass.
The volunteers have made a wonderful job of managing the gardens and nature trails, so lovely at the moment with a blanket of crocuses and daffodils.
There is even orienteering courses which are ideal for beginners and children to enjoy.
There is a cafe and Bistro which uses produce produced within the fantastic walled Garden which produces vegetables and some plants that were originally found in the Victorian walled gardens. They have a gardener that is always on hand to give advice. I also noticed that there are workshops that you can attend.
So lovely to find an outdoor space that is completely FREE to enjoy.
