Attended with family for a meal. Service was Good, if a little slow at first. Location lovely and lounge very nicely decorated. Menu could do with a bit more description as to what the meals consist of, and options available. Found it very expensive, especially on soft drinks (£3 a pint) and desserts (over £5 each, which was not stated on the sweet menu). Felt ripped off on the bean chilli, not much to it. Toilets were clean and stocked with necessities, no good if you're drunk and over 5 foot 8 though- watch your head.

Great evening meal, great breakfast, both were very large meals. The bedroom was clean and cosy. I would definitely stay again.

A traditional establishment with parking to the rear. I would reccomend booking a table and enjoy the great food. Lots of real ales are available although pricy. A children's playground is located across the road.

Food and pub was decent but we waited over an hour for food and it wasn't particularly busy

Traditional South Lakes inn, full of character. Excellent food and a good choice of real ales.

I would advise booking a table in advance if dining during school holidays - it can get quite busy.

The restaurant was very pretty and cosy. Drinks were served quickly. All of our party were happy with their food. The fish cakes and steak pie went down particularly well

We stayed at a near by hotel but came here for a change for something to eat. Absolutely brilliant, can not fault it. The staff were welcoming, very nice location. The food was brilliant, very cosy. We were already planning on going back just to stay here before we'd even left the place.
I saw a 1 star rating due to the fact they had to help themselves to menus. We too also had to get our own menus, but they were pointed out to us on the wall, just a few steps away from the bar wasn't an issue at all.

Great village inn with rooms. Proper home made chips, nicely brown. Rest of food was top notch and judging by the empty plates going back, so was everyone else's. Excellent Real Ales. Nice bottle of Malbec, opened early and allowed to breath. Two open fires. Breakfast set me up for the day.
