I would like to thank you and your wonderful staff for all your hard work and kindness that has been shown to my sister over the last 8 months…… I would definitely not hesitate in recommending your company.
Please pass on my personal thanks to Tracy for all her kind support, it was much appreciated.
Mum is over the moon with Gwen! She can't wait until she sees her again next week! Mum spent over an hour on the phone last night singing her praises to me! We couldn't be more delighted. It's such a great weight off our minds. Thank you so much from all of us, I shall recommend Home Instead to everyone who would benefit from your services.
Please let Caroline know that I am delighted with the assistance you have given us & the speed at which she has reacted when times were tough - she has kept me sane for the last few months! Do let the girls know that their work has been appreciated.
I am writing to you to say thank you to you and all of your team for the care and support you have given my mother over the last few months. The care has been of a quality that has been outstanding in the true sense of the word. My mum would not have coped at home without the real care and support you have given her. Babs thank you for your calming words when my Mum has been distressed. Karen for stepping in, in a crisis, and Luceen for her energy especially in the garden. You have all given my mum a real quality of life.
I’m not sure how I would've coped without Home Instead. They have become like friends and I am very happy.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead. They are very accommodating and show a 100% understanding of people which means an awful lot. I feel like the staff are caring and not just care workers.
My father's health has definitely improved since the involvement of Home Instead.
My care workers are very experienced and are always able to do what I require them to do.
My son has been at Horizon for about 6 months now. He has formed a close bond with his helper and has thrived with the 1:1 help that he gets to enable him to join in with the various sports and activities on offer. He always looks forward to coming and I am sure benefits from the exercise in terms of his muscle strength etc. I hope that he will stay in the club for some time to come and continue to thrive in his progress. As there appear to be no similar clubs locally we feel incredibly fortunate to be able to access this support.
As parents of two children with learning difficulties, we have been very impressed with the facilities provided by Horizon Sports Club. Both have enjoyed the Gymnastics classes, gaining personal confidence as well as physical benefit. The team of coaching staff are always attentive to their needs and reinforcing good practice with a caring attitude. It has been wonderful to see the children’s development over the years.
My husband and I would like it to be known how much we value the service provided by Horizon. Our son is on the autistic spectrum and has dyspraxia we have attempted to access mainstream sports clubs but there has been a lack of understanding and no one to one help. Horizon has taught our son how to swim which we consider to be an important life skill. He is now attending Horizons tennis club which is helping with the ball skills in which he has always lacked confidence. Horizon has the necessary experience and empathy with these children and the service they give to our son is immeasurable.
As a Trustee of Horizon Sports Club and parent of a 20 year old disabled daughter I am happy to endorse the club which provides sports training for children with disabilities across all spectrums. I can, from more than ten years experience with the club, vouch for the void that is filled in the community by the help and support the club provides to these children from 6 years of age through and beyond adulthood. The children can be seen to improve in mobility and, perhaps more importantly, in their confidence and social skills through mixing with other children and with the volunteer students who provide an invaluable service by providing one to one help to the children as well as gaining experience themselves in working with disability. The club offers Athletics, Gymnastics, Swimming, Tennis and Football and other ad hoc sports, all with professional coaches. The children are taught skills of each sport rather than just "playing". The club is affiliated to the Special Olympics GB (SOGB) and takes part in SOGB athletic meetings around the country. It now has members up to the age of 21 years and continues to help and support them both in sport and socially. They are able to remain members for as long as they wish. The club runs as a Charity and is totally dependent on membership and donations to keep it alive, and the undying devotion and dedication of Anita Templar who had the vision of Horizon many years back and has bought it to reality and strives to maintain its role in the community.
My nephew is now 19, and has been a member of Horizon Sports Club since it was founded by Anita in 1998. He attended gymnastics for the first couple of years, followed by tennis. Once he was at senior school the senior section began and he joined the football class. He also attends Special Olympics competitions, taking part in 100m and shot-put. All of this has helped him enormously with his co-ordination and social skills. He has seen that others have far greater difficulties than he has and he has developed a great sense of fair play.
Just bought essential ingredients for my Coke Float Cuppies from Fisher's of Gerrards Cross, what a fab treasure trove of a shop!! Thanks from Angel's Kitchen
Not being local and only having read about your store I finally visited to get some treats, and can only say wow, if all independent local traders made as much effort as you the world would be a better place! Your store is what supermarket shopping should always be, about food!
A great tasting last week at Fisher's of Gerrards Cross, local produce paired with wines. An outstanding family business food emporium.
Fisher’s sausages are the best sausages ever (particularly the pork and apple ones)!!! Fact!!!
What I would say about Fisher's is that they are always happy to help.
Every day I have shopped at Fisher’s. The staff have been friendly and very efficient, the store layout is good with savings in many sections.
I'd just like to say Fisher's of Gerrards Cross has Fab fruit and veg, and lovely staff.
Fisher’s has the best meats and very good produce. I’m glad you are my local grocery.
I think that Fisher’s is wonderful. There is something for everyone there.
Fisher's Fruit and Veg are outstanding. Also their meat counter is outstanding too.
Fisher's I have shopped with you for 26 years and would not change to any other. Thank you!
Fisher's have a good varied product range and helpful friendly staff.
A big thank you to you all – I shop in the store almost every day and enjoy coming in. I find everyone great young or older – long may it continue – well done.
I have supported Fisher’s for the last 40 years and find it a pleasure to shop amongst the friendly and helpful staff. Thank you!
I have shopped at Fisher’s since 1976 when we moved here and I have always found the staff very friendly and helpful.
I like shopping at Fisher’s. It is small and quick and products are excellent. Staff know me and I know them and where everything is. There is no pressure so good there again. The meat and deli products are excellent, some can only be bought at Fisher’s.
I love your meat and your vegetable parcels. I also think your idea of collecting the plastic veg or fruit punnets is excellent. Many thanks for many years of service (I have been shopping with you since 1970).
I often visit friends in the area and always try to shop in your store due to the wide range of excellent produce which I cannot buy locally. Plus, it is a pleasure to shop with Fisher’s and be treated with courtesy and help by your staff.
I really enjoy shopping at Fisher’s, not only is it an excellent shop for finding those unusual products along with all the everyday items but the staff are so helpful, thoughtful and efficient and never seem to get irritated with our older generation.
I shop in Fisher’s every day and find that they are very helpful and pleasant staff.
I think all the staff at Fisher’s are wonderful and very helpful and are always smiling.Thank you
What I like about Fisher's is that its so nice to have proper, knowledgable butchers and deli staff.
Fisher's is a Lovely shop, with Lovely Staff, it's great to be able to shop during my lunch hour.
Shop at Fisher’s almost daily! Good fruit and veg. Good meat. Like the fact that you can purchase small quantities at a time e.g. cheese.
Fisher's I have to say your cake counter is a winner, thank you - Carol
The quality and selection of fruit and vegetables at Fisher’s is first class.
There is always a friendly welcome at Fisher’s, backed up with a fine selection of food and wine, particularly the deli counter – not so readily available elsewhere.
We are lucky in this area to retain a proper shop of managable size which stocks everything including exceptional meat and efficient and helpful staff serving you.
This shop is superb. I have lived in Gerrards Cross for 30 years and I am so glad that a traditional shop like this still exists. So much of this type of shop is being lost. Please stay for a long time yet.
We are pleased with the friendly and efficient service that we have always received at Fisher’s. Thank you.
We commend your staff in all departments. We think the Butchery dept cannot be faulted, salt beef can be ordered.
To Paul and all the staff at Fishers - You are doing a wonderful job. Thanks.
Hello! I visited today with my three young children, my sister and her small daughter. We were really impressed with the model village and the railway. The whole area is so well kept and the attention to detail in the models is amazing! We thought that the cafe offered good value for money, unlike so many places with a captive audience, and that the playground was brilliant fun. We also really enjoyed the light railway. Many thanks for a fun day, even in the rain. Best wishes, Vicky
We have been doing business with Paul Milbourn a director of London and Counties Office Supplies Limited for over 35 years. We never considered using any other supplier. We have always had excellent service and competitive prices and would have no hesitation recommending them to others. The fact that we have not changed our supplier for over 35 years should speak for itself really! SGS Ltd
I only buy stationery infrequently and in small quantities and I used to use Staples. However, Paul Milbourn is known to me through networking groups so I gave London and Counties a try. I now recommend L and C to everyone because even though I don’t require a lot I still always get excellent service.
I met Paul Milbourn at a BRX networking group in Gerrards Cross which we were both members of when I had been considering using EOS – Excel Office Supplies or Smile Office Supplies. I chose London and Counties Office Supplies in the end because they are always represented at the networking meetings, and have proved themselves reliable and genuinely interested in local business, both for themselves and for the businesses they work with. I’m happy to recommend London and Counties Office Supplies to others and I do this all the time because London and Counties Office Supplies do exactly what they promise, and more; they offer consistently good prices on stationery and all manner of office supplies. They truly go the extra mile, and always with a smile, which is why they are our first port of call for anything we need for the office. Take One TV
I first heard about London and Counties Office supplies at a BRX Gerrards Cross networking meeting. At the time we didn’t have any particular relationship with any other supplier as our office supplies needs are quite low-volume, but we liked the London and Counties method of promoting business and have not been disappointed. We chose to use London and Counties Office Supplies because Paul Milbourn is an ambassador for the company and he is very professional, helpful and available. I would unreservedly recommend London and Counties Office Supplies to others because L and C offer a very comprehensive range of products and services; they are competitively priced and always deliver as promised. The level of service is First Class and we would have no hesitation in continuing to buy from L and C and recommending others to do the same. AAC Systems Ltd.
Absolutely fabulous Hillmotts. Thanks so much - I now feel like a million dollars!
Most enjoyable way to start a fun filled day, thank you Adele. Very relaxing.
Lovely, lovely hot stone massage, if you’ve never had one, try it, its unbelievable. Emma is was perfect, all the best see you one day again soon!!
Dear Andy My daughter Beth has been very fortunate to have attended gym, tennis and now swimming groups with Horizon Sports club. Since she was seven she has been attending a group one evening a week to practice skills but also socialise with children outside of school. Beth has struggled with sport in the school setting , having various special needs, so it has been wonderful to see her enjoying sport. It has also given me a fantastic opportunity to meet families with whom I share something in common and to feel less isolated by the difficulties special needs children inevitably bring. Indeed I have made a couple of lovely friends myself aswell as Beth. I am full of admiration for the way Anita runs these clubs making them very inclusive to all families who have a child with a statement of special needs. I know without a doubt that if it wasn't for Horizon both Beth's life and mine would not have the quality it enjoys . Sport offers such benefits to all members of society but for a child like Beth it can be non existent. It is inspiring to see what can be achieved !
My son has Autistic Spectrum Disorder and has been a member of Horizon Sports Club for many years now. He has had the opportunity to take part in a number of different of sports, which have helped him with his physical co-ordination and his social skills. It has also provided him with a peer group with whom he can enjoy physical activities without feeling inferior. The teamwork skills learned in their Horizon football sessions have forged such close bonds, that this group also meets for social activities such as parties, celebrations and meals out My son has also had the opportunity to take part in competitive athletics competitions with the Special Olympics, which has not only given him the chance to excel at something and win medals, but also to learn to accept defeat with a measure of good grace!
I want to tell you Home Instead, Lisa is an absolute gem, so kind and caring.
I cannot thank you enough for all the help you have given my Dad. I would recommend you to anyone.
From the moment the girls walk in the door, it's TLC all the way. Thank you Home Instead!
Hi, I am now retired and recently took the grandchildren to Bekonscot - just as I took their mother along when she was young. I think I enjoyed it more this time. We all liked the BLR and had a couple of circuits. I am planning to build my own 71/4" gauge line and am very attracted to your tram. I assume it is a "one off" ? Is there some way I can obtain details of it's construction ? I have a pretty fair idea of it's overall makeup but some "tekkie" stuff inc plans/drawings would be lovely.
I visited Bekonscot many years ago, and it was so much fun. Finding this on the Internet today really brought back some wonderful memories. Regards and Best Wishes
I just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful visit. I visited with my 3 year old son and 8 year old nephew and we had the most fantastic day out. It's a really brilliant place and very well run with so much to do. So thank you to all your staff! You are doing a wonderful job.
Hello, I just had to write to you having just spent such a lovely time with you this afternoon. I used to visit you as a little girl with my mum and on a spur of the moment having not been since I was 10, (30 years ago!!) I took my 3 boys with me for a spontaneous trip. I got quite choked up when we entered especially seeing the zoo first of all. Memories came flooding back and with my children echoing my words of years ago, "oh my gosh look" "mum that's so sweet" "mum that's amazing " I blubbed my way around!! Thank you for keeping my memories going and creating lovely ones for my lads. I will be back soon!!!!
Hi, I visited Bekonscot one Thursday recently with my two children (ages 4.5 and 1.5 yrs) and just wanted to write and say what a wonderful day we all had. The model village itself was amazing and my son didn't tire of walking around studying everything - seeing something new each time. The facilities were brilliant - it was great to go somewhere that was "picnic friendly", especially in these times of economic hardship and it made me more than happy to buy ice creams and coffee from the kiosk. The picnic storage area (although we didn't use it) was a fantastic idea and the covered picnic benches were great (luckily we had to shelter from the sun rather than the rain!). The baby change facilities were good - clean and plenty of them. Again, the playground was great - just being the right size not to detract from the model village. I used to visit Bekonscot as a child and it was lovely to be able to bring my son back some 25-30 years later! We will be back very soon.
My parents took me to Bekonscot in the late 1950's. I took my children to bekonscot in the 1980's. On the 4th August I took my 4 year old grandaughter to Bekonscot! Despite the rain we had a wonderful time. I just want to say thank you for keeping it so well maintained. In these days of computers it is so nice that something remains traditional! Also the covered picnic room with storage is a wonderful idea. Thank you to eveyone! Kind Regards, "Grandma"
We visited Bekonscot on a Friday recently and were very impressed with the village, the staff were friendly and even though the weather was not great you have covered this with plenty of covered areas. Well done!!
This place is wonderful in every respect! Thank you Bekonscot!
My wife and I took our 11 year old grandson to the Village one Monday last month. We felt that we had to write and congratulate you and all your staff on every aspect of your attraction. We have often visited before, but every year seems better! The improvements are too many to list, however the additions, many new fascinating details and working models add to the interest. The models themselves and the countless figures all in pristine condition are most commendable. Please convey our thanks to all concerned. They all do such a superb job!
I just wanted to thank you again for allowing us to film at Bekonscot, we all had a great day filming at such a fun location and the kids loved it! I do hope we managed to stay out of the way of the majority of visitors, and it was a pleasure for me to chat with those who were interested in what we were doing. The staff were all really friendly and helpful (especially a very busy guy who helped us out with a train towards the end of the day!) and we were made to feel very welcome. Many thanks again for all your help - I hope we can keep Bekonscot in mind as a location for the future!
We all had a fantastic time for Edward's 2nd birthday on Saturday, thank you for arranging the weather. It all ran smoothly from arrival to departure. The day was enjoyed by all ages from 2 to 45. The Party Hut was all made up with balloons and party hats, even the heater was on for us! Thanks especially to Andrea who ensured everything we needed was provided. The parents commented on the substantial sandwiches that were provided for the children and we all laughed at the children's negotiations over swapping Jam for Ham and Egg for Cheese fillings. The only tears came when it was time to go. I think we will be back again next year!
I would like to thank you for all your superb and truly professional help in providing an ideal carer for my in- laws. Shaz was such a lovely person and very thoughtful and respectful of their needs and capabilities.
Zoe was lovely. It was great to meet her and I know Mummy is very happy with her too. Thanks.
Thanks so much for the help you are giving. Please thank all the workers involved....... Do make sure to pass on my good wishes to Tracey, Tina and Wendy. My sister has just arrived from Cape Town. She last saw my father at Christmas. She was astonished at how well he now seems and you are all to be thanked for that!
Thank you so much to Becky for taking such wonderful care of my Mum. My Mum was really delighted to have someone new to talk to and thought Becky was adorable. In fact Becky was such a great hit with Mum, I think I am now surplus to requirements?!?! Thank you *soooo* much for your help.......I recognise that you’ve gone above & beyond !
I want to thank you and Caroline on behalf of our family for the brilliant help over Christmas with my dad. We would not have made it through without you. My father's peace of mind is the most important thing for all of us right now and you have given him that.
The level of support and understanding provided by the Home Instead staff has been exceptional and through them I have been able to give my elderly mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, a revitalised lifestyle.
