I try to tune in most days and enjoy the wide range of styles and music.
The local news is spot on and covers stories you only get in the Bolton News.
Stations in Manchester do not and never have covered Bolton based stories unless it is about Amir Khan or
Vernon Kay.
A great local service which i believe is run entirely by a dedicated group of volunteers.
Getting up early in the morning for nothing is dedication in my book.
I will keep tuned to 96.5 Bolton FM and i have relatives in Canada who will now be able to listen online.
Keep up the good work and a big well done so far

I had Bolton FM on this morning as i wanted to find out about any travel disruption due to the snow..
They had regular updates about possible problems on the local motorway network and some parts of Bolton with roadworks.
To me this is what community radio should be about.
Letting local people know about events or problems in their areas.
I'm not interested in a 10 mile tailback on the M25 as i don't live there.
Bolton FM is an asset and a wealth of local news knowledge an vital information.
They had regular updates about possible problems on the local motorway network and some parts of Bolton with roadworks.

I run my own web business from home and listen to Bolton FM Online.I have it on in the background most of the day.
The local content is good although i would love to hear more.
With so much going on in Bolton it is nice to hear our town promoting its brand and services.
I don't listen to music radio in the car but at home Bolton FM is good reliable listening.
Their music choice covers a wide range although i prefer 70's and 80's.
They certainly put on a professional show and represent the town in a good light.
The local content is good although i would love to hear more.

I don't normally listen to the radio in the car as i play CD's.
I was changing stations just in case i felt like a change and the radio landed on 96.5 FM.
I was not aware of this local station but listened for half an hour and the standard i have to say was good.
To me it was as good as the other Bolton based station called Tower but Bolton FM felt as though it was talking to me not at me.
Local Company adverts and i think there was one played for Bolton Hospice.
Any Radio station that supports it's local hospice gets my vote.
They have a new listener and i look forward to hearing more local output.
I will pass on the name to my family and friends so they too can be a part of it.

My Husband picked me up just after 5 and i told him to change from the local BBC station to Bolton FM.
Looks like they have 2 more regula listeners.

I have been into Bolton FM on many occasions to co host a show with Kevan Williams, everyone is always very welcoming and friendly. James and the team are all so professional and its an inspiring place to be.
I have also used their 99 adverts for £99 offer which was fantastic exposure for my business

I work in an office with 8 others.Someone today tuned in the office radio to 96.5 Bolton FM as they had seen the station listed in the Bolton News.
None of us had heard of it or listened to it.
We had it on all afternoon and i have to say it was very professional.
With it being community radio i expected poor presentation and people talking about allotments in Bolton or the rubbish on the streets.
Eveyone enjoyed the wide range of music and local

Can't remember the bloke who was on but it passed an afternoon and was enjoyable.
I reckon we will stay tuned to 96.5 Bolton FM to show our support for a local outfit who cover things in our Town.
I even retuned my car radio from another regional commercial station so i can listen to and from work

I only found out about 96.5 Bolton FM on here a few months ago. They really sound quite good and cover events in Bolton that do not get mentioned anywhere else. I like all the Bolton place names that get mentioned between the songs aswell.I listen in the morning to Lucy Teal and Charlie Wallwork on the way home from work.
I sometimes catch Andy Haslams Breakfast show on Saturday and Sunday which is really good and packed with info and lots of local news.Let your friends know about this local station and spread the word.
We need an identity for Bolton and this community station has the potential to realy catch on.
