Nice Holiday Inn hotel like most of them are. Stayed here a few times for business. Rooms clean and modern, room service good if a little pricey. It's in a convenient location for my needs but isn't in the nicest place in the world. They really need to fix their very sqeaky front door, it's been very slow and sqeaky for atleast a year I know of. Would stay again though!

Free parking underneath hotel, Staff great with nice welcoming smile and helpful local knowledge regarding directions. I couldn't really fault this stay. Discount rate of £40 and a upgrade to Executive room without asking for it!

One night stay alone on business. Checked in with no problem - underground car park, free of charge. Check in was quick, efficient and friendly. Upon entering the room, it was incredibly hot, turned the radiator off and like other reviewers struggled to use the bizarre unnecessarily complicated air con control panel which didn't seem to do anything whichever buttons were pressed - need some basic user instructions.

Room was clean and tidy with the exception of 2 long brown hairs on the underside of one of the pillows which was a little offputting. Bed was otherwise clean and comfortable without any dips/bumps.

Shaver socket didn't work which was frustrating and whilst the bathroom was tidy it is clearly in need of a minor makeover. Some strange pinkish stains around the plastic hinges of the toilet seat - toilet seats aren't expensive - get a new one! Shower was nice and powerful.

I opted for room service which was OK but not really 4 star standard with paper napkins, a complete lack of condiments and poor presentation. I asked for a jug of iced tap water which arrived but without a glass - small service things like that indicate a general lack of care to me. I also opted for breakfast in the room - breakfast was very good but again let down by paper napkins (its the small things that make the difference between a 3 and 4 star hotel!) and a general lack of presentation.

On the whole an OK stay but disappointed by the small things that are so easy to get right. You live with the small niggles in a 3 star, you expect perfection when staying in a 4 star - on the plus side the staff were all fantastic and friendly and i did raise the issue of the hairs when checking out and the receptionist said she would discuss it with housekeeping.

Would stay again, on balance. Get the small things right and it would be fantastic!

One word for my review of Bolton Holiday Inn SANJAY , he is an incredible part of the staff who run this excellent Holliday inn, , manners , service and all round ability to make his staff tick the right boxes , everybody I have met within my stay over the last 2 months have all commented on his excellent ability to try and make all guests to feel comfortable and appreciate what's best in the Hotel, I could mention many of Sanjay,s staff by name but they are all appreciated by the many guests that stay in the holiday inn Bolton.

Relatively painless to locate, easy car park access with a lift straight up to reception. Check in was quick and easy with only one polite attempt to sell on 'extras'. The room was clean and quiet (This was a mid week stay - I understand that at weekends the place is very noisy). It is only a relatively short walk into the town centre. I can't comment on the hotel amenities, I didn't try them or use the restaurant ........ On the negative side, the hotel decor is very tired, a dull and depressing place. I had booked a twin bed room and both beds were comfy enough, BUT, they were on castors.. so.. sitting up to read, or putting any weight at all on the wall mounted headboard shot the bed across the floor. I had to wedge towels under the wheels to make the bed usable after I'd woke up for the 2nd time with the bed a foot away from the wall and no pillows!.. Would I stay here again? probably if it was a one night stay but I'd have a good look at what else was available. I would not have an extended stay here.

Not a lot to say as we only stayed one night. Nice looking hotel, nice front gives a good impression. Friendly reception staff reinforced this first impression.

Room was nice, clean and fairly spacious. Comfy beds meant a good night sleep. My only negative criticisms would be the air conditioning control panel was not user friendly. I also had to charge my phone downstairs in the bar as the sockets were all just above working surfaces so my phone charger wouldn't plug in.

The bar was nice, well stocked and the bar staff were all pleasant and helpful. We decided to eat in and the restaurant was also did not disappoint either.

For an overnight stay, you could do a lot worse than stay here.

Very good value hotel. Great location in terms of railway station into Machester and to visit our relatives in Bolton. We arrived late Friday evening and the bar staff were very friendly organising drinks and food for us. It was a great welcome. Lovely breakfast using the £10 voucher. Safe, free underground car parking was appreciated. Would definitely recommend and definitely stay again. Only negative, I would say the bathroom in our room needs a little re-modelling.

Stayed here in early December. They offer a book a room ahead with no charge for cancellation until 4pm on the day. However, a month later after obeying all the rules and getting the persons name when cancelling and the date and time of the phone call, we find we have been overcharged on 2 rooms! We are now having terrible trouble receiving a refund WATCH OUT FOR THIS IF YOU ARE BOOKING AHEAD and make sure you check your statement a month later, otherwise, you will miss the overcharges completely. My parents aged 88 are very upset about this, and unless the money is returned we would never stay again, or recommend the hotel either.

I stayed here over Christmas and I have to say the staff made it such a pleasant time being away from home. Sibhoan on the bar was wonderful, Hannah in the restaurant was so attentive. Check in was very friendly and Kirsty on reception took care of us the whole time. The bedrooms were quite small but very clean and the service all round was excellent right down to the cleaning maids. We ate in the restaurant a few times and the food was of a quality standard and the pool was very relaxing. I would definitely recommend and look forward to my return visit. Thank you.

Booked 3 nights with 4 others double rooms single occupancy, I got a double bed others got 2 singles, not ideal. We ate in the restaurant and staff were very friendly but it took 2 hours to get and eat the meal and considering the restaurant was quite was a very long time. Good central location and free parking, reasonable breakfast and dinner. Club motivation gym small but quiet so no problem using the equipment.

Didn't start particularly auspiciously - had been reading negative reviews about this hotel; in particular problems at check-in. We checked in and given a particular room number; went up in the lift - key did not work. Went back to reception - they reset the key. Tried again - there was someone already in the room. This was sorted out amicably in spite of my poor temper. The rest of the stay was fine - staff were friendly (despite angry bear), room was good, breakfast good. Leisure Centre could do with a bit of a touch up, but overall what started with a sour taste ended well.

I stayed here on business a couple of nights on separate occasions. Check in was always very efficient and fast. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Although if your looking for a room with a view, this isn't the place for you. On the two occasions I stayed here my room looked out onto air conditions units. The restaurant breakfast was very good and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel for business stays in Bolton as it is right in the central area. I allowed me to walk to my meetings easily.

My son recently had his wedding at the Holiday Inn Bolton Centre. The location and venue are excellent but what really made it a wonderful stay were the staff; they were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for us :-)

Would definately recommend. We have just had our wedding reception here and the staff and service were amazing. Desmond who was looked after our wedding was absolutely brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. The head chef also was totally fantastic, he was so good to us and the food was delicious (especially the lancashire hotpot) and everyone commented on it. The bedrooms and breakfast were lovely and we all had a fabulous stay.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.

In Bolton on business (yes really !) and having been in few dubious Holiday Inns, was not expecting great things. But was very pleasantly surprised. Room was good, Food was excellent and good value (Curry Night - very authentic). But most of all the staff were brilliant. Very friendly and helpful, Ann the waitress at dinner was exceptional. I would definitely stay again.

Stayed at this hotel on business - the hotel is great, lesure facilities are a bit dated and the jacuzzi has been broken for a while but apart from that its go
t everything else you need, rooms are clean and tidy with nice new flat screen tv's which have all the freeview channels you would expect, its also got to be said that this holiday inn has some of the most friendliest staff I've ever come across, nothing is to much trouble, if there is something you need they can normally sort it out for you - I forgot my phone charger and ask receptionist they had a spare, at the time they hadn't but when I come back from work and they had put a charger in my room. (What more can you ask for ?)

A few individual people to look out for are Catherine who normally you'll get to meet in a morning at breakfast, she is always so polite, really friendly and always remembers you by name, remembers what you drink and always makes time to have a chat - Simone on the check in desk will always bring a big smile to everyone's face - very bubbly person with a great personality ( never stops smiling 😄 - I ate there on an evening and Ann could not do enough for me, everything on the menu was explained in full every time along with all the specials etc, very fast service when ordering drinks, service with a big smile.
I complemented the food one night got to meet the chef "Tash" ( she knows how to cook !!!) Again she was extremely nice and great to have a chat with.

All in all this hotel is great and would recommend it to everyone - I have a few more stays to go at this hotel and already im looking forward to it !!! In my opinion this is a 4 star hotel with 5 star service

Thanks to all the staff for making me feel so welcome and I really look forward to seeing you all soon.
