Quality in general has diminished considerably since my last visit.
Room grubby. Food warmed up - especially full English breakfast offering has gone right down in quality.
Value for money both in quality of accomodation and food offering has diminished considerably.

Lovely old fashioned charm about this hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Service was lovely, however is a shame that the view from the thermal suite will soon be populated by a housing estate. I would still come back and stay at this hotel view or no view.

Issues with inconsiderate guests at 2 am, who kept us awake all night. Avoid here if they have any sort of function on, if you go when it's quiet then you may be ok. The food is lovely, the setting is lovely but some of the rooms are in need of updating and if they are busy it might be that you get a shabby room. We have stayed before and had a nice room but that was on a Sunday night. AVOID when they have a wedding, Xmas party and 50th birthday all on the same night because you won't have access to certain facilities, you might not get a table in the restaurant and you might be kept awake all night by banging doors and people who have just got married and have no consideration for others!!

We had our wedding at LDV on 30/11/2019, our wedding co-ordinater was Jacqueline & our master of ceremonies was Nicola. We cant thank either of them enough for how amazing our day was, from the moment we viewed LDV to our wedding day we was supported and made to feel very special! The day ran very smoothly and any pressure was taken from our hands! Our guests loved every moment! The food was fantastic both breakfast & our wedding breakfast! Obviously the location is out of this world and we were so lucky at how beautiful the weather was! Our bridal suite was fab it was room 46 which allowed myself and bridesmaids so much space to get ready in on the morning of our wedding. Honestly we would recommend LDV in a heartbeat! Thank you so much for making our wedding day so special!

Bit of a delay checking in but then settled down to a lovely chilled break.
Booked on the black Friday deal and a very good deal it was. Staff friendly and attentive, wished it could have been longer.

Location The Hotel was in a lovely location. The beds weren't very comfy, stains on carpet. breakfast was cold. Certain bar staff needs to be a lot more quicker (She).

Perfect Location.
We book this hotel for the spa & gym facilities.
Easy parking. Restaurant & Bar Meals 5*.
Friendly & helpful staff.
Very reasonable prices for what you get.
Highly recommended. :)
Upgraded to an executive room which was a lovely surprise on arrival, we didn't arrive until midnight but were greeted with a friendly face and a porter who insisted on carrying our luggage to our room.
The gym is immaculate and has plenty of equipment. Loved the infinity pool perfect temperature, Spa facilities are amazing. Will book again as always when visiting family back home in Bolton.

Beautiful food, rooms and staff. Overall extremely happy - but the hotel really do need to keep on top of the "reserving" of sun loungers despite notices to the contrary. More loungers please. The view from the infinity pool should be improved also...currently? A car park. Don't let those little issues put you off, though - they can (and hopefully will) be sorted and overall the facilities are stunning and well worth a visit

Quaint idealic situation. Good and friendly atmosphere. Very comfortable room.
Plenty of room for parking. The availability of the Spar amienities are good for those on a longer stay.
A good level of room service.

We have just had a lovely weekend break at The Last Drop. My family party arrived on Saturday afternoon for check in. We held a dinner in one of the private dining rooms and were looked after by the staff who catered for all of our needs.

I had arranged for a wreath making event on the Sunday for all of the ladies in our party in the Rivington Suite where Paige looked after us with 5 star service.

The food was exceptional and the hotel and amenities are fantastic - I love the infinity pool!! This place really is a hidden gem.

Many thanks to Lucy, Chloe, Lisa and Lindsey who helped me arrange the weekend. I have already been asked by a few of my group if I can book us in for next year for the same again as they enjoyed it so much!!!

Relaxing and enjoyable. Hotel is lovely, has a pleasant aspect, however, must express my disappointment at the housing estate that is currently being build right in front of the thermal suite. The view adds to the charm of this excellent hotel. The new housing estate that is currently being built in front of the thermal suite. The hotel itself is lovely.

Lovely relaxed over night stay. We loved the leisure facilities, especially the hydrotherapy outside pool! Some parts of the hotel could do with a bit of a refurbishment.

Loved every minute of it. I have stayed here in the past and would recommend booking here Bed was a wee bit too hard for my liking but you can’t please everyone. Fantastic place to stay for all kinds of people. Bed a tad softer

Exceptional Pretty much everything, aside from the minor point above. A lovely, comfortable hotel with friendly staff. We will return. The room was generally lovely and in the most part appears refurbished, but some of the furniture is clearly dated and could do with urgently being replaced. A relatively small thing that would really lift and improve the feel of the room.

Exceptional Beautiful location and very friendly. The buildings are outstanding and very warming. Hope to book our next trip up there soon! Although the restaurant was gorgeous. The food was overpriced and had no flavour. Really disappointed and ended up eating out before coming back to hotel most days.

This hotel was lovely, quaint and yet fairly modern in some of the rooms. The breakfast the following morning was great and would certainly recommend if you choose to stay here.

The staff were polite, friendly and helpful throughout our short stay.

The only negative in my opinion was that although the spa facilities were lovely and modern (the small infinity pool especially), however the women's changing facilities seemed very grotty in places and I would say this needs to be looked at.
