The Octagon holds many childhood memories for me. Wonderful plays fabulous casts! If anybody remembers Dave & Jan or Dave & Margot from Bolton, please give them my sincere gratitude for teaching me to be confident in drama situations. They taught me so much. šŸ’• I would add more stars of I could! šŸ’•

Went to see Little Shop of Horrors and was in awe of the story telling. The entire cast had incredible singing voices and accents and each really embodied their characters. The puppetry of Audrey 2 was incredibly organic and really brought that blood thirsty plant alive. Loved how Audrey 2 was eyeing up the crowd during the interval!

Despite the set being static, the use of a prop here and there created a multi-locational feeling.

This was a perfectly made recreation of a favourite musical of mine and I couldn't have asked for anything more! I really recommend going to the Octogan as it always puts on a great show!

I visited the Octagon Theatre for the first time last week to watch Little Shop Of Horrors with my mum and daughter. I LOVED the show - everything about it was brilliantā€¦ the acting, the accents, the singing, the stage and set, all of it! I found a welcome note on my seat from the theatre as they knew it was our first time there - a lovely (and clever!) touch. The size of the theatre was great and really helped to bring the show to life right in front of us - it just goes to show that you donā€™t need to spend a fortune on tickets for the big city theatres to have a fantastic night! The bar for drinks and snacks during the interval was great too. Weā€™ll definitely be back!

Watched Bouncers on a Friday evening and it was great, very funny and thought provoking. The Octagon is a lovely theatre and the bar and restaurant are nice spaces for socialising before and after performances. I thoroughly recommend that you book to watch something here.

This was my first time visiting the Octagon; itā€™s a charming venue just off the high street with a bar and comfortable-looking pre-theatre dining area.

I saw the auditorium in its thrust-stage format (for ā€˜Bouncersā€™) which allowed for decent views wherever you sat- though the central bay is best!

Iā€™m looking forward to returning for Little Shop of Horrors.

The Octagon provides great facilities, especially important with a disabled wife. There is ample parking next to the theatre. Staff are warm, welcoming and helpful. The auditorium style venue makes you feel very close to the action with an intimacy not offered by larger theatres. I've enjoyed every visit and look forward to many more. If you don't want to take in a show, just enjoy a light meal or drink with friends or family.

Had an absolutely brilliant night last night at The Octagon Theatre, watching
JOHN GODBER's "Bouncers." Laugh out loud funny and a times quite poinient. What a brilliant cast, if you can remember clubbing in the 80s, you'll recognise most if not all of the characters.
