I have been supported incredibly by Bolton FM over the past several years. Keith Harris is my go to for everything. They have publicised all my work for charities and recently even did a marathon for me (well a Relay marathon!!!) as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Diamond award challenge I am leading on for University of Bolton. They are wonderful!
I was delighted to be invited to visit the Last Drop to take a look at the extensive refurb they are undergoing. I love the Last Drop. My youngest daughter had her baptism party there and also learned to swim there - so many happy memories. I was very impressed by Victoria who showed us round. Stephen Parkinson, the Events Manager, interrupted his meeting to come and greet me and ensured we were totally spoiled. I took my daughter with me and we had a lovely time in the spa and then dinner and then spent the night in one of the tastefully refurbished rooms. Breakfast next morning was delicious with lots of choice and helpful staff. Thank you so much - we will be back. I look forward to seeing it not just lovingly restored but even more improved.
I love what BYPHS do to serve the young people at risk in Bolton. To provide a roof for a young person who might otherwise be homeless is fantastic but it is all the other things that truly make it exceptional. The fact that it has an IIP gold award for how the staff are treated. The fact that the staff constantly go the extra mile. The fact that the Director is so generous in her support for others outside the charity but tireless in her actions to make a difference to those in her care - doing sponsored events, telling anybody who will listen how worthy the cause is ... I could go on! I think what really speaks for my personal belief in it is the fact that I have been helping to set up the guardian (patron) scheme for the charity! Oh, and that I will be one of the first 25 guardians myself!
I can't commend Best of Bolton highly enough. On a Personal level the support I have been given, first working in the charity sector and now as a consultant, has been exemplar. The team are always on hand to offer support, advice, encouragement and wisdom. The events are great opportunities to meet different businesses and the fact that they take place on different members premises gives an insight into the work and working environment of others. The women in business group has been a source of incredible support, business advice and encouragement and it's fun too. Business happens because it's a group of like minded women who want their peers to be successful. Thanks to their complementary gifts they make an exceptional team. Thanks all. Blessed to know you!
Angela really is a consummate professional. She is also incredibly generous with her knowledge, her wisdom, her guidance and her vast knowledge of the World of journalism, PR & Marketing. Within a few hours of the piece she produced I had a telephone enquiry regarding my new consultancy. She is a profile raiser par excellence.
