They helped me when I was a vulnerable and homeless young woman. After suffering abuse and the world blaming me rather than the perpetrator, my self worth was nothing. They reminded me that I am a person, a valid one. I now work with parliament on the prevention of child sexual exploitation rather than a suicide statistic.
