We often pop into the museum to get some relief from a shopping trip with the kids! It has some great hands on activities for the children and thereʼs often a craft activity for them too. They love to watch the boats on the canal from the bridge style gallery which runs over it. They ask to go into the museum whenever we go past. Iʼve been impressed by the quality of the information in the museum - itʼs not too ʼheavyʼ but is very interesting and informative. Well worth a visit, especially since itʼs free.
Iʼve been to a few of the Mill Theatreʼs childrenʼs performances with my 4 year old son and have been very impressed. The shows are a great introduction to theatre for children and there are shows to suit all age groups. We even took our 1 year old to the last show and she sat enthralled for the whole 45 minutes! Weʼve now booked tickets for every childrenʼs show over the summer holidays as well as one of the family craft sessions. We hope to try out a couple of the performances intended for grown-ups soon too!
