Brighton’s kids get colourful and decorate the city.
Over the past month, Brighton’s school children have been busy painting, drawing, colouring and creating to enter a competition designed to paint the town in a multitude of colours in time for the summer season.
The competition, run by Brighton’s Business Improvement District (Brilliant Brighton) and sponsored by Juice 107.2 and Identity Signage and Printing, asked the city’s kids to dream up a poster that completed the phrase, ‘Brighton is Brilliant Because…’ and the results were overwhelming.
Hundreds of entries flooded in, and in all, 121 winners were chosen to adorn banners which will be hung throughout the city centre from May through to September, celebrating all that is brilliant about Brighton.
Western Road, North Street, Bond Street, Market Place and Preston Street area now awash with a multitude of reasons why our wonderful city is loved. From the beach to the downs, shopping to the pier and everything in between, our city’s children have put paintbrush to paper and are showing off all the best bits about this wonderful city.
The event comes from Brilliant Brighton, a collection of 517 businesses in Brighton City Centre who have come together to help make Brighton a great place to visit, work and live in. For more information about all our projects, visit us here.
All the winners are also on show on the Brilliant Brighton Facebook page.
