Businesses, community groups and residents are now joining together to drive a campaign to raise funds to restore a small section of these famous arches.
When the crowdfunding target is achieved, this will kick-start the wider project and will provide a platform for the council to apply for Heritage Lottery and Coast to Capital LEP funding to bring the restoration project to fruition.
Once restored, the 1897 structure, designed by Phillip Cawston Lockwood, would become the catalyst for regeneration of the eastern side of Brighton’s famous seafront.
