Monday 5th November 2018 - To see an extravaganza of fireworks and the biggest, most famous bonfire in the country complete with effigy burning, head to Lewes town centre where there will be 30 processions with six bonfire night societies from across Sussex. Wrap up warm in old, waterproof clothes, bring plenty of money for charity collection boxes and be prepared for long waits, heavy crowds, loud noise and lots of smoke. And, of course, lots of fun Please note that this event is not suitable for young children or disabled or elderly people. Proceeds go to the bonfire societies.
Getting there: There will be road closures all evening and night all around the Sussex routes into Lewes, starting from about 2pm, and the main procession routes will be out of bounds for car parking. You are advised to take the 28 or 29 bus from Brighton or to travel by train or taxi. Try Brighton & Hove Radio Cabs.
Brighton Lions Firework Display at Brighton Racecourse
Sunday 4th November 2018 - The fireworks display, which will last for approximately 30 minutes, is scheduled to start at 7.30pm and gates will open at 6pm. There will be small fairground rides to keep children amused (at extra cost) and refreshments, including a licensed bar, will be on sale.
Ticket prices are adult £10, junior (under 16) £5 and a family ticket covering 2 adults and 2 juniors £25 (plus handling charge).
The Nevill Fireworks 2018, Nevill Sports Ground, Hove
Saturday 3rd November 2018 – Display produced by award-winning team from Brightfire Pyrotechnics and choreographed to a fantastic musical soundtrack. Food stalls will be open all evening, and glow sticks and flashing toys will be on sale at stalls inside the grounds. Timings: Gates 5pm - Display 7pm. Venue Nevill Sports Ground, Nevill Road, Hove at Blatchington Mill School, near the Greyhound Stadium.
Sussex Cricket Fireworks Night 2018, Sussex County Cricket Ground, Hove
Saturday 3rd November 2018 - Fireworks Night returns to The 1st Central County Ground, hosted by Capital FM. Gates open at 6pm and the display begins at 7:30pm. There will be live music from local artist Adam Davis and crowd favourites The Marching Skaletons. Advance tickets will go on sale from Monday 1st October. The night will be presented by Domestic & General and will be supporting two fantastic charities - the Sussex Cricket Foundation and the Martlets. Tickets cost £10 for adults, £5 for kids (U16s) and family tickets from £20.
Free Bonfire: Battel Bonfire Boyes, Battlefield Battle
Saturday 3rd November 2018 – This FREE non-ticketed event is hosted by the Battel Bonfire Boyes and is free, although donations are also accepted and all funds raised are used to help local charities and good causes. Events start at 10am with the Ringing of the Church Bells and a Children’s Procession and run until 10pm, when the fireworks display ends. Please Note: No parking is available as this is a small town with limited spaces.
