Brilliant support for your business!

Ride the Wave is a programme of affordable, practical support for businesses at every stage of their journey. It's funded and led by Brighton and Hove City Council, and designed and delivered by Brighton and Hove Chamber of Commerce. If you've got an exciting idea you'd like to make real, or an established business you'd like to grow, you'll find a session for you. The programme includes workshops, peer support and mentoring, and it's designed to give you the tools you need to create the success you want.

A fifth programme of events has been announced and will run from May to September 2016.

Growth means profit, but it also makes constant demands on your resources and skills. Join this workshop, and you'll learn how to meet those demands. You'll clarify your thinking as your assumptions are challenged in a supportive environment. You'll learn with and from other growing businesses. And you'll come away ready to prime your business for effective growth.

Smart bidding

Interested in bidding for public sector and larger private sector contracts, but don't know how? This workshop will show you the way in. You'll learn about the opportunities available, how to identify the right ones for your business, and how to write a winning bid. You'll get the chance to ask questions of procurement experts in the public and private sectors. You'll come away ready to start bidding and winning contracts.

The workshop includes:

Insight into procurement in the public sector and large organizations.
How to find out which contracts are out for tender.
How to identify which contracts are right for you.
How to write a winning bid.
How to manage your time and maximize your resources during the bidding process.
Q&A session with the experts.
A case study of a smaller business that has successfully won contracts.

After the workshop: 1-2-1 mentoring

When you attend a Ride the Wave workshop, you'll come away with lots of ideas you want to make real.

You'll be able to book a 30-minute mentoring session with a business expert of your choice (or two 30 minute sessions if you attend Overcoming Barriers to Growth). They'll help you take the insights you've gained during the day, and turn them into part of your business strategy that you can use every day.
