Presenting the UK's Star Business 2018 and local stars in Brighton and Hove

The votes have been counted, and the winners are in! The UK's Star Business 2018 in our Business of the year awards is....

Winning with a staggering 1009 verified votes; voted for by their loyal customers, our Winner is (drum roll please)... Mckenzie's restaurant of Lichfield. Second place goes to Aspects Hair Designers of Hastings with an amazing 880 verified votes. And coming in a close third is The Littleton Restaurant of Walsall with 820 verified votes.

IN BRIGHTON AND HOVE:

1st in Brighton and Hove are THE FLOAT SPA of Hove. They also made top 100 UK business (position 30) and top in the UK for "Health and Wellbeing" with a fantastic 174 verified votes from their customers.

2nd in Brighton and Hove are CIRCLE STUDIOS of Portslade. They also made top 100 UK business (position 33) and top in the UK for "Health and Fitness". They accumulated 159 verified votes from their customers.

3rd in Brighton and Hove are ABOUT BALANCE in the centre of Brighton. They accumulated 106 verified votes. About Balance made the Top 100 UK business (position 54) and came top in the UK too in their "Massage" category.

These Brighton and Hove Businesses had accolades in these National Categories:

BRIGHTON BED CENTRE - 1st in "Furniture and Furnishings" with 85 votes. Also Top 100 UK business in position 77.

LAPTOP DOCTOR - 3rd in "Computer and IT Services" with 48 votes.

ZAPP LASER STUDIO - 3rd in "Skin Care" with 44 votes.

BIG CHRISTMAS CRAFT AND GIFT FAIR - 2nd in "Markets and Community Events" with 23 votes.

How it worked:
The customer votes or reviews were counted from March 1st 2017, with businesses needing at least 12 verified reviews to qualify by the 30th of November 2017. The campaign kicked off in earnest at the beginning of January with businesses competing to collect as many additional reviews to the 31st of January 2018, culminating in our announced winners.

A big Thank You to everyone who got involved this year and a huge congratulations to all of our winners and qualifiers!
