Friday 12th April

  • Daydreams and Diaries: the story of the children's author Jacqueline Wilson. Discover how her most popular characters, including Tracy Beaker, Hetty Feather and The Illustrated Mum, began life. It's an exciting hance to find out about Jacqueline herself, her favourite stories, characters and working process, completely free at Hove Museum.  
  • Frozen: Set in present day England, Frozen tells the story of the disappearance of a 10-year-old girl, Rhona. The play follows Rhona's mother and killer over the years that follow, a fascinating tale that'll have you on the edge of your seat all evening. 7:45pm, £9 per ticket until Saturday 13th April at the splendid Brighton Little Theatre

 

Saturday 13th April

 

  • Hidden House: Enjoy a rare peep Behind the Scenes at Preston Manor, a very special tour which takes you upstairs, downstairs and backstairs of this beautiful Edwardian manor house. From 11am - 12:45pm & 2.30pm – 4:15pm, £15, members £12, book in advance at Preston Manor.
  • The New 4 Poofs and a Piano: Bigger, Harder, Louder, Longer! Just like a phoenix from the lashes, the delightful four poofs do their thing at The Old Market, at 7:30pm, at a cost of £15/£12.
  • Edinburgh Previews: Join Patrick Morris and Nat Luurtsema for a double-trouble generous helping of brand new comedy from two exciting and hilarious rising stars at 7.30pm, £7/5.50 per ticket, Upstairs at Three and Ten

 

Sunday 14th April

 

  • Glenn Miller Orchestra: It don't mean a thing if you ain't got that swing! Relive the spirit of the 40s as bandleader Ray McVay presents the famous Glenn Miller Orchestra in a show for all generations, 5pm, £18 - £21 at Brighton's beautiful Theatre Royal.  

 

Monday 15th April

 

  • White Hills: Love clubbing? With just the right blend of psychedelia and hypnotic grooves, White Hills weaves in and out of anthemic chants, deep space bleeps and other-worldly madness for a mix that's completely intoxicating. Strut your funky stuff at 7:30pm, £7 each at The Green Door Store

 

Tuesday 16th April

 

  • The Leisure Society: Enjoy a very special show from brilliant double Ivor Novello nominees The Leisure Society, due to release a brand new album, Alone Aboard the Ark. Doors open 7pm, cost £12, venue The Haunt.  

 

Wednesday 17th April

 

  • Craftganza Live: Are you an arty-crafty type? Turn up for a free creative meet-up, perfect for everyone interested in Brighton ahd Hove's cool contemporary craft scene. 7:30pm, Free Entry at The Old Market

 

Thursday 18th April

 

  • Hepworth Brewery Ale Tasting Night: Great beers, great velue, excellent company. Head for the Pub Du Vin for a very special evening with the team from Hepworth Brewery, 6:30pm, £15, Hotel du Vin Brighton
