In an effort to help keep the children of Sussex as free-range as possible during the school holidays, The Sussex Wildlife Trust has come up with 30 free, wildlife-based activities to keep your family engaged all summer long. Called ‘Wild Summer’ you can check out our ideas, suitable for children of all ages, using our Wild Summer Selector.
Activities include making a twig raft, creating wild art on the beach, making mud faces and meeting a moth.
Wild and Free activities involve going out and discovering some of the wonderful wild places Sussex has to explore. Wild Play are nature-activities you can explore closer to home.
Youngsters are being encouraged to share their ‘Wild Snaps’ of themselves and their families enjoying the ‘great outdoors’ by posting pictures of themselves enjoying a Wild Summer activity.
The Sussex Wildlife Trust is the leading nature conservation organisation covering East Sussex, West Sussex and Brighton and Hove.
