Enjoyed the place, got a good price for a couple of nights in a standard room. The bed is fantastic, the bathroom is really nice, the Smart TV was a pleasant surprise. Didn’t have the best window view, unfortunately: it was overlooking the rooftop with a puddle full of sigarette buds. Someone was smoking through the window in one of the suits next to ours, and when they threw the sigarette bud away, it was carried along with the ash straight into our room. Stepping on it was not the best experience of my life.
The hotel is located in a pretty nice place, considering it is in Bury.
Overall, a very nice and friendly place.

My wife and I had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel as did family and friends. We found the location pleasant with some view to the Horizon. As this was a wedding occasion, some greenery around the Hotel would have added to the photographic possibilities, but this was largely circumvented.

Overall a very wonderful experience.

Booked for New Years Eve to watch The Rat Pack travelled from Warrington so booked a one night stay £126 for the room £134 for meal and Show I was so excited as I’m a big fan of the Rat Pack music so you can imagine my Dissatisfaction when a Show that is Advertised as The Rat Pack Tribute turned out to be a Solo artist singing swing numbers,Elvis,Sam Cook,The Bee Gees,BobbyDarren,(The artists was very good by the way) But this was no way a Rat Pack Tribute and this was Blatant misrepresented advertising Village Hotel Hang your Head in SHAME.

bar manager awkward and doing what he wanted despite an offer being sent to us. He said Subject to availability and im not doing it.I showed him the offer but he said it was his choice. Attitude was very poor. The bar staff were great though.

Nice pool and gym and a women only gym. Range of classes at the moment but members being told that these are under threat if not used (they all seem well populated to me but there is room to move) parking available whenever I have been. Facilities all clean. Communal changing areas with a couple of cubicles you can wait for if you want them. Various membership plans, everyone seems to have paid something different.

Very busy staff very helpful but a few little thing's, heater not working, items running out at breakfast, table at breakfast cleaned but food all over the floor, meal over cooked in the bar all were fixed quickly but just felt we spent all our time complaining

The hotel was fantastic. Stayed over on "Sunday night saver" and then upgraded to a club room. The room was lovely however there was no ESPA products at all in the room upon arrival. When I raised with housekeeping they were great and quickly resolved so I could enjoy a shower to freshen up. Used the gym, and pool facilities which were included with the upgrade, again couldn't fault. The food was very tasty and hot, however service was quite slow despite it being relatively quiet.

We met friends for a meal in the upper balcony area. The staff were really friendly and the range of different foods was excellent. We had the carvery but that included extra side dishes and lots of variety of sweets and puddings. The helpings weren't huge but they were varied. The helpings weren't huge but they were varied and very tasty. The only negative thing is that the prices are a little on the high side if you're just meeting somebody for a nice lunch but it was an amazing pleasurable experience and so you pay for that.

I am a member of this gym and after it's recent refurbishment it's the best gym around this area and has a great pool and Spa facilities. Bar food is good and on Friday's between 5 and 7pm it has burgers for £1. I've stayed at the hotel once and the room was very nice. The staff are always friendly too.

I’ve visited this Hotel on a number of occasions to use the gym, cafe, pub, and the private function room. I mainly use the gym whenever I visit the area.
It’s conveniently located between Bury and Heywood, just of the M66. The gym is a fair size with a mix of equipment and free weights you’d expect in any gym, they have private trainers too if that’s what you’re looking for. In addition they have organized classes. Changing and shower facilities are always clean and pretty spacious.
After a session it’s nice to have the option of the pub or cafe, depending on what time of day it is ad pond what plans you have with the rest of the day.
Staff are always pleasant and helpful, I’d recommend this place to anyone looking for a local gym with decent amenities.

Visited the hotel pub for Friday burger for a pound deal. Seating area nice and open, staff friendly. Ordered burgers with bacon and fries and although fairly busy they arrived soon after. More of a good snack rather than a full meal but already knew that as had many times before. Well worth it and easy to access from motorway junction.

The standard room was absolutly beautiful. I booked this room as a place for my friend and I to sleep after out night out for Halloween. Checking in was really easy and the facilities are clearly signed. The room was a lot bigger than I had expected, plenty of room for my friend and I to get changed into our outfits, with a mirror big enough for us both to share. The room had everything we needed including a really nice choice of coffee and tea, a huge TV and nice smelling toiletries in the bathroom. The bathroom itself was spotless, unfortunatly with all hotels of its size it does suffer with having a shower that doesn't get as hot as I like and isn't very powerful. However the best part about the stay was the bed! It has a very cosy mattress topper which made the bed so easy to fall asleep on and gave my friend and I the best sleep I think I've ever had in any hotel. The staff are friendly and genuinely happy to help, I would recommend this hotel to anyone who will listen 10/10 on every front!

The conference room was very noisy whilst a zumba class was going on in an adjoining room, but this didn't last too long. Conference facilities are good, food provided is always excellent although takes a long time to serve the numbers involved in a conference. Service overall is good though.

Cracking hotel in a great location. The rooms are comfy and we had great service from all the staff also you can use the facilities on site so we take our grandson to the big swimming pool which is a 25 meter pool and is really really good. Location is perfect close to the M 62 and Bury town centre and a great location for visiting friends and family we been back a few times and will be back again it’s also great value for money

Went to the hotel to use the gym after purchasing a pass via payasugym. Pros: Fantastic gym with a range of modern equipment. We were even able to use the squash court for free and rackets and balls were free to hire too! Friendly and helpful staff! Cons: poor phone signal as gym is in the basement. Headroom was quite small so doing box jumps was a bit scary. Be sure to bring your own towel as they cost 1.50 and it's not a deposit.
