We have used this hotel on a number of occasions and we have always found the experience first class.
The rooms are comfortable and facilities are also very good.
In addition car parking is easy and the hotel is easy to locate

Decent Hotel, funky rooms but , a little tired in places, carpets, paint etc by and large though a decent hotel with a very good gym and spa. The food is OK but a little pricey for what you get. I'd certainly stay again.

Self check-in quick and easy. Room was large, but it could have been cleaner. Rubbish left on floor under bed, someones bobble hat left in room. Only 1 pillow per person which could have been better. Went to bar in evening poor selection of drink, plenty of gin but not all people drink it. My partner asked for 2 drinks which they never had. Overall it was disappointing.

The hotel has a Starbucks, fitness centre, shared workspace, and spa facility on site. The hallways are poorly heated and the walk to your hotel room can be very confusing and not ideal with someone carry a large suitcase. The hotel rooms are spacious and clean, however expect noise emanating from other floors and could disrupt light sleepers. The check in is self service which is convenient and the wifi on site is quite good.

Great location for a gig in Bury. Clean and comfortable with a decent breakfast. The modern check in process was brilliant. The room was comfortable and staff were friendly and helpful. Corporate style rather than personal. Not surprising since hotel is very big!

Very good and friendly service, plenty of staff. Breakfast piping hot , good location.plenty of parking. Coffee was good too. Bury market 5 mins from hotel, taxis prompt and reasonable rates. Definitely will stay there again as it’s really handy for Manchester.

Great location, modern room but average food. Very accessible and rooms are spacious clean and modern. I've found the meals disappointing. On a 'curry Wednesday' they sold me a meal told meal someone would be over with a plate and then I could help myself. In the meantime the curry's were all cleared away! When I chased it up I was told a selection of curries would then be brought to me. When it appeared it was clearly the left overs scraped onto one plate. The queue at the bar was too long to complain.

For a two night stay, it was nothing but hassle. Windows are hard to open and close - bathroom window was already semi open, letting the cold air in, leaving a cold draft throughout.
There were no telephones in the rooms, you had to download an app or go online to speak to an advisor - BIGGEST FAIL EVER. Waiting an hour and a half for someone to respond to a simple request of having an extra couple of pillows. Got no response and gave up and went downstairs to speak to someone - the pillows still never came. The App or online service kept timing out - so did the “free internet”, which we both ended up just using our own data. Was just inconvenient not being able to pick up the phone and speak to someone...

The bathroom was compact and nice enough for a short stay. However we were greeted with a dirty shower/bath, dirty floor and the extractor fan/top corner had cobwebs. Could deal with the cobwebs but the dirty bath/shower, not so much. I also asked if this could be seen to. No one came, nor did we have our room serviced when we requested it.
They may have been short staffed and busy but first impressions were poor.

Stayed one night with my friend who was getting married the next morning.
All the front of house staff were amazing, more so when the groom had one too many!

Staff couldn't do enough, room was spotless and comfy and the breakfast was very good.

Stayed the night here for an early meeting the following day. The restaurant come bar area was crowded, noisy and not comfortable so I decided to eat out.
The meeting room was hot and stuffy all day and although maintenance was called and made a couple of visits it never improved. The space in the room was not used to its potential but the saving grace was the large bed which was very comfortable and the room was quiet which is a big plus.

We recently stayed at The Village Hotel for our wedding, which both the ceremony and the reception was held there. It was absolutely fabulous, the venue was perfect and totally blew us away when we saw it dressed.

The only negative (which was soon resolved) was the hotel room that we were originally allocated, was very small and it was at the back of the hotel, which was far from ideal. It was soon corrected to perfection by the incredible wedding planner Tina Galasso and Doretta, the House Keeping Manager though, allocating us family rooms straight away, they were both incredibly supportive, as was Tina '2' who took over from Tina G in the afternoon...the staff are absolutely first class.

If I was to offer prospective couples any constructive advice who are thinking of booking their wedding here is to insist on a family room for the extra space and going one step further - Senior Management of The Village Hotel chain, invest in creating a bespoke bridal suite that offers plenty of space for the bridal party because the standard rooms are simply, not big enough!

The beds and pillows are comfortable and the bathrooms have a contemporary fit out in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The food is awesome and the new sports bar to the right of the reception is great however, as the restaurant is situated at the rear of the bar and its all open plan, it does get really noisy so if you like to eat in a quiet space then you would probably be disappointed, so be mindful.

There's plenty of parking and it is free (a real benefit today as many hotels charge) and there is disabled access to the right side of the entrance steps that takes you to the patio area (a god send when taking all your wedding things up to your room, so make sure you utilise it!).

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect and Tina Galasso, the staff at The Village, the beautiful venue all played a MAJOR part in that, so a HUGE HUGE thank you to you all.

If you are reading this review with a view to planning your wedding, you really can't go wrong and its a great size too...We would recommend it to anyone, check out the pictures of the 'dressed rooms' absolutely stunning! :)

Great for regular business trip stay over. Friendly staff and great facilities. The food menu is varied and the nightly specials keep things interesting, the gym is top quality and if you like your sport they have 2 large screens to help pass the night.

Good Great location. Large and functional. Food and drink on site. Odd automated self check-in during a busy night in the bar alongside made it more difficult to check in than it needed to be.

We stayed as part of a wedding party, enjoyed the do. The hotel was pleasant and staff friendly.
Didnt like the colour scheme of corridor but thats about personal taste / preference.
Booked for 3 but only one stayed wasnt offered a down grade room, which would have been appreciated.

Whole experience marred by having left item in room, for item then to 'disappear'! Majority of staff were friendly & efficient - but some more so than others. I left my iPad in my room and unfortunately it was claimed that it wasn't found (stolen) so my whole experience of The Village has been let down by this. Food was mediocre and the wine for the actual quality in the bottle was very expensive i.e. cheap wine but priced too high for actual quality. We only chose The Village Hotel due to it having an event. Wouldn't go back or recommend it as I left my iPad hidden in the room and checked out (my daft) but then it 'disappeared'. Only likely conclusion - dishonest staff - so, would I go back? - NEVER! - and would offer caution to other guests - don't make mistake as I did - leave anything in room as you're not likely to get it back.

Visited this hotel several years ago and gave it an average mark. Returned for a one night stay and was really impressed about the room improvements. The bathroom was amazing in its design. Didn't use any hotel facilities.

The Village Hotel sits on a pedestal however no need to hump suitcasesup the 30 odd steps to reception as there is a lift for disabled at the right end of the building. Reception formalities were dealt with by a Receptionist with a laptop and soon after arrival set out on the hunt the room challenge. I think the hotel had been extended so not all rooms were easy to find neither was the way back to reception from some.
There is a bar restaurant on the ground floor however avoid this on a cup final weekend especially if a party is in progress as the sound level might only just be slightly below deafening.
The service was good and so was the food and in the morning a buffet breakfast is served in the same place.
Good sized rooms but could learn lessons from Premier Inn regarding bed comfort.
Perfectly adequate but might check the local Premier Inn next time.

shame that the bathroom wasnt clean and smelt quite bad.
Also the bedroom window let in loads of noise making it very hard to sleep.
I didnt report as it was early hours and I couldnt be bothered

It was quite an expensive night stay considering the above.
Not sure I would stay again for that reason, real shame.
