I will admit that I do not have any experience of learning to drive with another school, but it would be seriously hard to do a better job than Toad’s School of Driving do. It’s a common belief that all driving instructors are boring, grumpy old men, stuck in their ways and impatient when presented with any form of challenge to their preferred teaching style. And, from what I’ve heard, that seems to be largely accurate. However, both Sue and Ben from Toad’s School of Driving are a shining example of how stereotypes don’t always hold true. Not only does Sue teach me the basics that will enable me to pass the test, but she also goes the extra mile (if you’ll pardon the pun!) to teach me the other crucial aspects of driving that aren’t necessarily part of the test. And she does all this while taking my own viewpoint and ideas into consideration and making sure that I’m enjoying myself—because how can you learn properly if you’re not having fun?
