Pleasant food and good wine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Recent fado evening was a different and enjoyable experience.
What I like about A Tasca is the quality of the service. The food is good but the waiter, Joao is so good at his job that you feel as if you are their best customer regardless of how often you visit. Nothing is too much trouble and although intellectually you know that this is likely to be due to his experience and training emotionally you still feel like an old friend on the receiving end of some old fashioned Portuguese hospitality.
