“The Borders Alcohol & Drugs Partnership (ADP) commissioned Figure 8 to carry out a needs assessment of drug and alcohol problems in the Scottish Borders (2009), together with an evaluation of existing services. This study was designed to assist the ADP to meet recommendations of the Scottish Governments’ Delivery Reform Group, and those within the Audit Scotland report into drug and alcohol-related spend (also 2009). The resulting reports wholly fulfilled these requirements, having been rigorously planned and conducted, with draft findings subject to consultation to ensure accuracy and ownership. Both were completed to a very high professional standard and have indeed proved invaluable to the ADP in securing improvements in the range and quality of service delivery and in performance management. The ADP and constituent members have been very impressed with this work. We would be happy to recommend them to others who require similar studies to be carried out in their areas.”
