When I began a search to replace my existing Mercedes Benz 4x4 I had in my mind a used Mercedes model and year of manufacture that I really wanted but felt I could never realistically find. As most people do I started searching on the Autotrader website and to my amazement I actually found the car that matched my specific requirements. If you take into account that I meticulously looked after my own vehicle then finding a used specimen that was one owner from new, full service history, relatively low mileage and clean inside and out was going to be a challenge. First thing that came into my mind that this is too good to be true and assuming that a “small” dealer which I had never heard of was selling it there has to be a catch. I first went onto to HPI check the car even before contacting the dealer – it was OK! Then I phoned the dealer to obtain further information and I spoke to Terry who was very helpful. I still felt at this time that something has to be wrong with car. Then I made plunge to travel and see the car – I was still apprehensive even at this time. When I reached the Showroom I was met by James McCarthy who showed me the vehicle and allowed me to test drive the car. After meeting James and his team I was confident that the car was as stated in writing. Thereafter, the buying process was a joy and I am happy say that small businesses can still thrive in an age when bigger businesses endeavour to muscle out the small companies.
