Room okay for price but definitely surface cleaned only and basic maintenance very lacking. Lift was an experience in itself. Good location however

It’s a lovely hotel. It could be jazzed up and prices doubled but it would lose it’s character. If you want something mo It’s a charming grade 2 Victorian hotel. I love the high ceilings and the architecture. It has a lot of character and charm. It’s a great hotel.

Amazing location. Just ensure you are in a room with windows that open !! The location was amazing central to everything !! We had a superior room view.
Only one window could open. The other window in the room couldn’t, neither could the bathroom window. As a result the room was stifling hot & very stuffy ! It impacted immensely on what would of being otherwise a great room 😕

Authentic old world charm. The television froze during a World Cup penalty shootout.

No vodka or ice.

No soap in the shower.

Great location and price but not sure id want to stay again. It was a beautiful location, very reasonable parking and reception staff member who checked us in was very polite. The bar staff were not very friendly or polite, there was no ice for drinks and other travellers were permitted to roam around the hotel in pyjamas & slippers all day which really brought the ambience down and made it feel very tacky.

Probably not the best place to stay in a heatwave. Breakfast was good, it was probably the best part of the stay.
Staff were ok to pleasant.
View was good.
Bed was comfortable (but hot).
The room was SO hot, with no satisfactory way to cool it down. When we checked in at 3pm, the sun had been shining in all day...no-one had thought to close the curtains. The bathroom also had a window, sunny-side, and there was no effective way to shade this window. Scorching! To be fair there were 2 plug-in fans but there was no way they were able make a difference. Also, the windows hardly opened, so we were unable to cool down, even at night.

Just what I needed to declutter mind. Relaxing except for the lift Burlington is located right the beach and town. Easy access to both. A little outdated and in need of a spruce up. Food was excellent and the room was great I didn't like that out of the two lifts only one lift worked as the other one was broken. It was broken the last time I stayed there. I got trapped the last time I stayed. This lift takes 2 people at a pinch. Please spend the money and sort the lift out. Also I was charged £20 per night for my dog and Booking.com states £10 and they would not honour this. Disappointing.

First appearance from outside was off putting, poorly maintained, in fact shabby inside & outside. Quiet night’s sleep considering the hotel was full. Didn’t have a sea view which I was expecting as I paid for a superior room. Staff were polite & helpful.

We were made very welcome by Sarah at reception, given a lovely room which whilst decor is a little dated, the bathroom was fully modern & clean & we had wonderfully comfortable beds. We were on the corner so had lovely views & windows that opened enough to give us a breeze through during this current heatwave.
We paid £6 for car parking at the rear of the hotel, a bargain for 24 hrs!
Pr book breakfast for £10 pp which is buffet style with plenty of choices, absolute bargain.
All the staff we encountered were friendly & smiley. It really does make a difference to our stay & appreciate the effort all the staff go to.
I would definitely return here, it's a great location, right on the sea front, near the pier, shops, restaurants & an easy 12 minute walk to the theatre. Perfect for our needs.

Great 1 day stay shout out to lovely Sarah so kind and you get a service with a big smile she gave us a big room on 3rd floor massive windows that open up really helped as it was so hot even tho there was a fan been able to open windows came in really handy, room was really clean apart from the kettle it had massive stain in it which we obviously didn’t use, good bar with good selection of drinks and tv for the World Cup, location couldn’t be better we stayed here for few nights last year and looks like some of the rooms have been upgraded which is great to see, will definitely stay again thanks Sarah and team 😊

They need to always have both lifts operating! Proximity to the pier and town centre. The lift wasn’t working, so I had to walk up and down 4 floors in a heatwave.
