Comfy chairs, excellent screen and sound quality. It is expensive but not overcrowded and the staff I have experienced over three visits have all seemed keen, helpful and enthusiastic. Downside no bar, lots of escalators and walking past empty units and a touch on the expensive side. Also new Star Wars film was crap but I cannot really blame the cinema for that.

Went to the new Cineworld in the Beacon centre for the first time recently and my initial impressions aren’t great. It’s two escalators to get in plus a far walk through the centre, one the first floor most of the new shop units are empty? The cinema itself was ok slightly different from the old one, in the one I was in it was much stepper than the old one, and if you had mobility issues that could prove problematic.

But my biggest issue, by a country mile was it cost me £4 to park!!! I went to a 12.30pm showing. So for me as a pensioner that will put me off going. The old Cineworld at the Crumble you could park for free all on one level so unlikely I’ll be going there too often with those parking charges.

This review is for the new Beacon cinema. It's pretty good but a few irritations along the way. Went for a live streaming event. Quality ok but did 'Blip' a few times. Can't believe they couldn't organise to get the audience in on time and a number missed the start, they also kept the house lights on for too long. Not enough toilets with long queues at intermission also terrible service at the concessions. I actually gave up waiting so they lost revenue as they were so badly organised. On good side seats comfy, view unobstructed, sound system ok and picture quality good enough. Excellent and cheap parking nearby but not sure why planner didn't have a direct link. Also weird that the two adjacent eateries were closed!

We been here four times now - access is a bit weird - escalators fine but trekking past as yet unoccupied shops on the first floor is odd. That will eventually change I am sure. Why there is no direct access from the car park is a bit odd. However the actual screen experience is excellent especially in the big auditoria - almost on a par with imax with superb picture and sound quality and very comfortable seats. I wouldn't recommend sitting in the first four rows as you'll be craning your neck and/or a bit too close. However if you sit further up the experience is as good as I have had anywhere. The smaller screens are nearly as good. I saw Le Mans 66 in one of those and found the movie completely absorbing. I am baffled as to why some of the comments here should prefer Netflix watched on a larger TV or even a projector at home. I have both in my house and whilst these are fine they absolutely in no way compare to the film experience at the Beacon. Incidentally the new cinema is also a massive step up from the old Cineworld at the Crumbles. Highly recommended.

Despite occasionally having good movies on the smaller screens and selling out some nights, I love everything else about the new location in The Beacon!

We've been to the Arndale Centre in Eastbourne several times but not since it's been revamped and extended. Parked in the Ashford Road car park that's free on Sundays, and accessible with bright red and green tarmac for visibility.

Lifts all in good order, escalators up to Cineworld above. There's a Nando's, which we may try next time.

Booking online is easy, and a QR code scanned at one of the 3 termini delivers the tickets. Usual over-priced drinks - 6GBP for two drinks! But hey ... and accessible loos - and plenty of them! My cup runneth over!

Seats are very roomy for fidgety self and plenty of legroom for tall husband. Volume not too horrendously loud, even 3 rows from the front. Definitely worth a second trip.

The staff are pleasant and helpful and the seats excellent but the live opera screening on Saturday12th October was not a good experience. The whole of the first Act was ruined because the sound wasn't working properly. There were two intervals but the cinema lights were not turned back down at the end of each one resulting in a member of the public having to get up and go out to request this each time. The tickets are more expensive than normal cinema tickets and the cinema is relatively new, presumably having an up to the minute sound system, so we didn't expect this kind of experience.

Lovely staff and really comfortable seats. Dangerous not having rails in some screens. There are two lifts to the cinema and the second one is hidden.
You go up an escalator with black walls and reach Las Vegas a dazzling black and red floor. Shame you can't look ahead to whats screening in the near future.
If you purchase tickets from the machines its obvious whats on at the cinema but there are a lot of old people in Eastbourne and if you queue for your tickets there is no signage as to whats on,

Only went because someone said it was worth going once for the experience. What I liked
1. Seats were comfortable with good leg room

2. Clear view of the screen. I was sat in the back row. Not so sure would have wanted to sit at the front as may have got neck ache.

3. Like the cup holder

Concerns
1. I saw about 10+ people with obvious mobility problems really struggle to get up the steps to their seats. One kind gentleman ended up holding someone up to allow them to get to their seat about half way up.
2. I saw at least two people nearly fall on the steps one coming up one going down.
3. If you sit in an aisle seat be prepared for people to hold onto your seat to get up or down the steps
4. Couldn't see any wheelchair seating in screen 7
5. No toilets near screens 6+ need to go out and into the area where screens 1 to 5 are
6. Signs for toilets are confusing was told to go left and its right in front of me. This was in fact the male toilets and had to check the signs to work out the other one was the ladies.
7. Lighting was shocking for those with any visual or balance problems in the main foyer.
8. No convenient free parking.

Will I go back. No. Don't think its cost effect. £12 for a ticket is high. Also concerned about the lack of options for those with mobility problems. There was alot of seating that just isn't suitable due to access up stairs and no rails to hold onto.

The service here is amazing. We have just been served by a member of staff called Josh and he was brilliant!! He was so helpful, polite and did everything with ease.
The facilities are really good, with very clean screens and a wide choice of food and drink.
I couldn't praise this cinema more!
We are unlimited customers and we keep coming back to this cinema because of the great team, wonderful facilities and th wide range of films they show.

We really enjoyed our visit. Far better seating we could all see and the seats were comfortable. The staff were all really helpful, and we could walk there, no having to get two buses or a taxi! X

Visited this week to watch Spiderman. Foyer is stunning and the staff were friendly. Loads of legroom, massive screen and the seating is quite steeply tiered so clear view. Very happy with our visit. Could be an issue for people with compromised mobility as the stairs are steep unless there is a lift to the top of the auditorium that I am unaware of.

We attended the official opening of the new Cineworld at The Beacon last night and it was a splendid night out. From the sparkly flooring to the phalanx of terminals for ticket issuing in the foyer, to the 8 (count 'em, 8!!) brand new screening rooms, to the comfy seating with plenty of legroom, to the excellent sound and screening, this was a real treat! I'm very glad to be an Unlimited card holder, I will be coming back as often as is possible!

I was delighted to attend the gala night when the Cineworld team were showing off what the new cinema had to offer. Having snuck in earlier in the week to take a peak it was certainly much better than expected. Tonight I got to watch a film in the new theatre and so impressed I did not spend the whole film shuffling about trying to find a comfortable position to sit in. No heads in the way and the screen is MASSIVE! Lots of Bruce Springsteen songs which were amazing on the sound system. It was like back in the day when I young and going to the cinema knocked my socks off.... nice to be genuinely impressed. Well Done Cineworld!

This is a lovely cinema in a pretty waterside location, free parking too. The cinema is clean and staff efficient, a good experience with a good choice of eateries close by

Queued for a couple of minutes to get tickets. Walked straight in. Seats were comfy enough for a 2 hour film. Sad to discover it's moving to the town centre as the ease of parking here is worth the drive over from Hastings to us.

Not the best of visits today.
It took us 30 minutes to get our tickets.
Got in the first queue and after 15minutes they shut the till....😩 I know there was signs saying no card payments which I don’t think helped either.

There is not much I love more than going to the cinema and Cineworld in Eastbourne is a great place to go. Staff are friendly and helpful, the theatres themselves have comfortable seating and the sound is good.

I love this cinema, since moving to eastbourne 3 years ago, we have been regular visitors. We probably won't use it as much when it's in town due to anxiety. A real Shame as it's a great little cinema. A little update would be perfect, not relocation! Will be sad to see you go.

Perfectly fine experience the other night. Loads of parking and cinema easy to find. Had a little look round the shops beforehand as well.

Could have done with another person on tills as queue's were building up but other than that experience was good.

Drive straight into a parking place here no problem which is always a bonus.

Queued for a few minutes to get our tickets and pick out seats.

Saw the costs of the drinks and food but people were still buying them eg coke/Pepsi and a hot dog was on offer at £8:00.
