The bar at The Winter Garden Theatre is truly dreadful, with people queuing for an absolute age to get a drink. Why don't they get more bar staff in and open both bars, their wages would more than be covered by the extra takings in the tills. The bar is just a shambles at the moment, but I know this is not the fault of the bar staff. During the show, The Bowie Experience, people were dancing at the back of theatre. This is fine in itself and it is great to see people enjoying themselves, but they were totally blocking the exit! The stewards/security should have shepherded them away from the exits, but the stewards/security all appeared to have gone walkabout tonight. Strangely enough they were guarding the bar doors just before the intermission, to make sure nobody entered the bar too early-why was this even necessary? Where were the security when people were blocking the exit at the back of the theatre later in the evening ? They had drifted away and were later spotted up in the foyer when we were leaving the theatre. It was totally shambolic!!
