Having been caught two hours with grandchildren in the car snow billowing down roads shut. Performance missed.

Speaking to the theatre today. The kind generous help and assistance from the theatre was so so much appreciated
Praise to you all awesome customer service.

Thanks

I can't really complain when it comes to the performance of shows thier always Entertaining and Amzing to watch! But when I have phoned up customer service they can be very difficult and rude instead of wanting to help you in a friendly manner...Witch puts you of even booking in the first place! Atleast the Manager fixed the problem I had but still I shouldn't have to deal with the manger to sort things out on more a proffeshional and polite manner. Witch is a shame really some of the staff seriously need to brush up on thier customer service! Now if it wern't for that problem it would of been 5 stars for sure.

We booked late to see the brilliant Harry Hill. The only seats left were the front row of the Upper Circle & they came with a warning - restricted leg room & restricted view. As these were practically the only seats left in the entire theatre, we thought they were going to be rubbish. However, we had an excellent view of the stage & the only 'restricted view' was that we couldn't quite see the top of the projection screen that HH used. And the 'restricted leg room' only meant that people walking past to get to their seats are closer/nearer than normal - sitting watching the show, the seats are perfectly comfortable (even for this 6' bloke).
P.S. Harry's show was aye - may - zing!

Nice little theatre, good leg room compared to some others. Foyer a bit crowded at times. Have to praise the staff sorting out an unexpected mass restricted seating issues due to stage setup.

Credit where it's due, Ben Onwukwe performed out of his skin tonight in the principal role of Red in a touring production of The Shawshank Redemption.
He'd already been stellar in an otherwise so-so production, but he delivered his transformation soliloquy so very close to the end against an aural backdrop of *the town's fireworks* AND an audience member in the front row being unable to switch off the loud music coming from their phone. Ben held it together and was listing the things about his new life outside the prison from which he'd won parole, when he pointed to the heavens and said, "And the noise!".
You could tell he was up against it, then the cap he was about to put on slid out of his grasp and went skidding across the stage and into the darkness of the [unoccupied] orchestra pit. He waited and delivered more lines, then looked for the cap before quickly saying, "Nah, that's gone".
Hard to convey in words, but by the time he'd completed the monologue, he was getting applause for just getting through it and STILL the fireworks were exploding.
Just one scene left and he punched the air when it was over and the audience leapt to its feet in ovation. Truly emotional theatre. If there was one performance in the week, this was the one to be at.

Just been to see The Shawshank Redemption with Joe Absolom and Ben Onwukwe. The whole cast was outstanding and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The last scene was so emotional. I also got to meet them both before the show and they were so lovely and chatty and autographed my ticket for me! We are so lucky to have such a fantastic theatre in Eastbourne, it’s such a joy visiting. Can’t wait for my next visit.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this theatre for The Mirror Crack’d. Prior to the show we popped in to take a few pictures. A warm welcome was received. This depiction of Agatha Christie’s novel was cleverly presented by the actors. Thank you for a great evening out x

We enjoyed our first ever visit to the theatre to see "The Mirror Cracked" - a cleverly staged production with an excellent cast. The opulent decor of this intimate theatre is typical of so many of its period. Long may it thrive!

Found out about this theatre and others in town at the tourist office. We thought the show would be a fun way to spend our first night in town, and we were not disappointed. What a beautiful venue this is. Staff were great as well.
