Beautiful building. Disabled side entrance works well for those with mobility issues, but do be clear on booking if you need a seat without steps once inside!! Also pre-plan a route to the toilet to avoid steps. Worth the trouble and carers go free (T and Cs apply). Disabled parking is in the car park, but beware there are a limited number and the theatre is a popular destination, double yellow lines are checked even during evening shows, so do display your blue badge if you are entitled.

I am a regular visitor to this theatre. On the latest visit I saw Mary Shelley's Frankenstein by the Black Eye theatre company. They are regular performers at the theatre and are absolutely fabulous. The tradition theatre setting, with efficient, polite staff, beautifully decorated interior and intimate feel really suit the productions they put on here. Sets are imaginative and performances varied enough to suit most tastes. Small vending kiosk and small bar for refreshments. Varied, sometimes niche but always worth watching. Christmas panto is always excellent for light hearted fun.

Great, traditional, little theatre, for an intimate experience. Even the drinks are reasonably priced.

I pre-booked my tickets on line, in the stalls, row B and had a perfect view of all of the stage. I went to see Robin Hood, performed by just a cast of only five.
The show is a comedy and the performers really put everything into it. It is very funny and entertaining from start to end.
The theatre itself is authentic the seats are quite small and little room for others to get past you. Just like I always remember.
There is a bar which serves drinks before the performance and at the interval. Helpful staff. Great evening entertainment.

The most authetic theatre, so embrassing, so intimate, courageous in it's output. My most favoured theatre.
