Plenty of walkways below the promenade. Disabled access to the beach. Plenty of distance space. Toilets are open as is the cafe. Really relaxing.

Sad to see it locked up, and in such an in crude fencing. It is is bad need of some TLC.
This is an icon in Eastbourne and is in serious need of restoration. Its a shame to let it go when Eastbourne are spending so much of our funds on the other end of town.

Yet another, lovely old building which has been left uncared for by Eastbourne Council. Hence not open for 2020.
The Council did restoration on the Band Stand itself 1918, after leaving it for years to corrode away, never finished the job completely,so the undercover area is now in a dangerous condition. This work could of been completed while we were in lockdown, due to the fact the workman would be outside and able to self distant! !
But, of cause, that didn't happen. They've run out of money I believe.
Buildings like this can never be replaced, once it's gone, yet it's extremely popular, entertainment wise, when it was open.

What a lovely place to listern to your favourite band covers on the Parade on the Beach front of Eastbourne East Sussex. If you book in advance you get a discount or pay on the door. Most of the seating is out in the open, get for warm nights, or on chilly nights bring a bracket to cover your knees. People dance to the music, there is a bar and seating which is on a first come first serviced bases.
