The bandstand is one of the most iconic things about eastbourne. I have been to many concerts and more recently have started going to their Christmas Day one which is just amazing.

A unique place for music in this historic structure which has been popular since the Victorians were in Eastbourne. As long as the weather is fine then one can have a lovely time here.

I have been coming to Eastbourne for a weekend with friends in mid to late October for many years.
When we first visited, the bandstand was packed away as the summer season was finished however it now seems to be operating for much longer with a season stretching from April to late October.
The audience needs to well prepared as there is very little shelter from the elements.
The building itself is a wonderful example of art-deco dating from the 1930s.
Throughout the season a wide range of different performances are put on and I must admit the Oasis tribute band last night were very good.

Queen in September... The bandstand tried to blow up Brian in the wind and rain, but Freddy battled on... The crowd loved it and a great time was had by all despite the weather!!!

We looked around whilst it was being prepared for a night at the proms event.
A lovely location and the seating was set out well to afford the visitors a clear and unobstructed view.
They had fireworks at the conclusion of the concert that we could see from our hotel room further up the road which to be fair were a little underwhelming and brief.
But the venue looks good

I’ve been here a few times and have yet to be disappointed.

It’s a lovely venue and perfect for recitals and performances. They get all kinds from classical to comedy.

It’s advertised as the UKs busiest bandstand and I’m not surprised.

Go there folks!

Had a good afternoon watching the band perform a nice variety of music, the band had to preposition down to ground level due to the windy conditions on the stage at the time, this actual gave a more intimate connection with the audience

This is a Victorian bandstand that is really used a lot. Varied tribute acts on Friday and Saturday night, band concerts on Wed and some Sundays, free Christmas concerts etc. There is a bar and snacks. Best to queue up early if you want a front seat. Lots of dancing. Just needs a bit more TLC.

this was a very good show of 18 12 overture and other music just like the last night of the proms ending in a fantastic fireworks display

We have come down to see 2 of the tribute nights at the Bandstand this summer and have been very impressed. We saw the Human League in July and George Michael this weekend and both shows were excellent, so good to see the audience singing and dancing along. Such a far cry from the Bandstand I remember when holidaying in Eastbourne as a child when it was generally only the 'traditional' band concerts performed!
There is a bar in one corner of the main arena which is open throughout the evening, what else could you want!
We will look forward to the launch of the schedule for summer 2020 to give us an excuse for another couple of weekend breaks in Eastbourne!

I was lucky to visit eastbourne on the very hot bank holiday weekend in August. Walked past the bandstand and it looks got gorgeous during the day and I thought it would be fun to go to the Michael bublé tribute show that evening since the weather was so nice. I was on my own but really enjoyed it. I got there just before the show started so it was quite busy already, if you go in a group I recommend that you get there early. The staff was in general nice and helpful. The prices at the bar were average. The show was good fun and really enjoyed the fireworks although it was a bit short.
