We had a lovely time here with our grandson

Well laid out, lots to do and kept our hard to please toddler entertained for several hours. Worth stocking up on 20p coins before going to operate the model trains. Dress for the weather though, very little shelter if it rains.Visited on

We were very happy to be here! A place where you want to return. Wonderful place for kids, they loved it and didn't want to leave at the end of the day. Special thanks to Mike and Rachel for getting to know each other and chatting!🇬🇧🇺🇦Visited on

Another great day out with the grandchildren. We love this place. So much to do. We try to guess which engine will be running on the day. The play park ares are well maintained and Grandmas Maze is even better now that the tress have matured.

Nice place for a family day out. Good amenities and we'll maintained. Separate play area for toddlers and older kids which is a plus. The ticket price to enter and ride the train is not the best value though. The cafe menu is somewhat limited but the prices are very reasonable. Hot drinks are served just below boiling point so watch out! Might be worth looking into their annual membership if you intend to visit frequently.

We loved this place. Great for the little ones. The train was good although for the price think maybe you should get two rides. We did pay for a second ride. The play areas were good and catered for our 1 & 4 year olds. We got ice creams but took a picnic so can’t comment on catering but plenty of space to sit.

I am so pleased my family discovered this wonderful attraction. Get a yearly pass for £25 and you can visit as many times as you would like. I overheard some people saying they are coming back the next day. I'm not surprised. For this price you get beautiful playgrounds and picnic areas.
There is an additional charge to ride the train but it is a minimal £5 for 6 rides (or £1 for each ride, I think). My 15-month-old son loves it and waves all the way around.
Part of me doesn't want to promote this place as I feel it is a hidden gem, but praise is needed for such a fun family day-out.

A great day out for younger children (and older if steam trains are their thing!!). A great little train ride, plenty of play equipment with a fenced off area for toddlers, and a good walk around the lake.

My first time visiting here. It was a pleasant day. Although the weather was drizzly we still had fun. I came with a 14 year old and 21 month old. Luckily my elder daughter doesn't mind chasing after her little sister as I don't think she would have enjoyed herself as much. The little mini steam train was a hit and we paid to have a second go on it. My Little girl waved no matter what she was doing everytime the train passed. Has a couple different slides and play areas. I think the bird hide was a good idea. We came with a picnic. They served a good selection of sandwiches and icecreams and snacks. So probably would get something to eat from here if I was to go again. They had plenty of seating and picnic tables etc. Overall a nice couple hours out.

We took our 4 (almost 5) year old grandson who loved it. As per a previous review, we were pleasantly surprised, as it’s great family day out and of course the steam miniature railway which we did twice. The maze, under 5’s play area, two play areas, nice woodland walks, lakes, shop and a café. Picnic tables dotted around if you take a packed lunch. We live in Eastbourne and didn’t realise what a gem of a place we had on our doorstep. I’m sure we’ll be going again one day.

A bit expensive - about 10 pounds for a ride around the lake - but this is the UK and I'm Spanish, so I guess it must be my view. As for the ride, it was fun. Besides, you can visit a part of the garden, which I really liked.Visited on
