Excellent day out with friends and their 2 years old toddler. Lots to do -multiple play grounds, train rides, country walks and a small but quality food court. Definitely value for money and a site for us to revisit next time our family friends are visiting.

One point that the management should look at is recycling no bins anywhere for bottles etc.

That a side a we will return when the opportunity arises.

We took the grandchildren out over half-term. We had seen the place in passing but never thought much about it but after reading the positive reviews thought we would visit.
The miniature railway is very sweet and for the entrance fee you get 1 ride round the lake. You can pay a bit extra to have unlimited rides. On our visit they were using the steam engines.
Also in the park is an adventure play area and toddler park. The maze and garden needs to mature a bit but still pleasant. There is a nature walk round the lake which we didn't do but looked a nice walk.
We had ice creams but there are drinks and snacks available. Also model railway sets in action for 20p. It was busy but not too busy.
Entrance fee was £19 for 4 people which I think is very reasonable. I also liked the fact that the gift shop wasn't the exit so you could choose to visit rather than pester power taking over. Well worth spending a few hours here.

Visited yesterday with my 10-year-old daughter and had a great time! Very reasonably priced, with two pricing bands (one ride or unlimited rides) and there is lots to do! Great play areas, friendly staff, a lovely walk through the woods and round the lake, a maze, ornamental gardens and, of course, the steam train rides! We were there for approx 4.5 hours. The story of how the family who own it set the park up from just a field and a dream is inspirational too, I even bought the book! Highly recommended for families!

We had one of the best days out as a family that we have had here today! Very fairly priced for unlimited rides, a huge play park with something for all ages, a maze and a gorgeous walk around the lake! We loved the extra little parks half way around the walk, just made it that extra young child friendly.

We were SO impressed with how clean and well presented the whole park was and all staff were so friendly! Particularly the man driving the train, not sure how he does that for so long but still kept up waving every time he went past.

A huge selection of great bits in the gift shop too, we will definitely go back there to get some gifts for our train mad sons.

We cannot wait to come back, with friends and enjoy another day out!

I visited with my 2 year old, 4 month old and little dog and it really is a lovely place, make sure you have plenty of 20p coins!!! They have little railway displays that are activated by 20p and the kids absolutely love it! I would also recommend getting unlimited train ride as you will want to go on it again! As this was our first visit I just got a one ride ticket and really wished I had got unlimited! There’s a great play area for the kids and lots of picnic benches and a little cafe. I really have nothing negative to say about this place

Suggest you purchase at the entrance the unlimited train journey tickets as we certainly benefited from this option

Lovely, clean & well kept grounds. The play areas are great. Very safe & easily accessible for our toddler. There was a lovely range for him to play on. The improvements are perfect. Lots of seating. A lovely place to burn off some energy & have a picnic. The train ride was good too. Very fair pricing. Thank you.

Went with my daughter in law and 4 year old autistic grandson. Beautiful grounds. Great value for money, grandson particularly loved riding on steam train and watching Thomas the Tank Engine go round. Play areas are excellent and very child friendly. Cannot wait to come back again

This place could be amazing but the facilities are tired and there's not a lot to do really - once you have enjoyed a quick train ride with the expensive standard entry price. You can pay a little extra for unlimited rides. The miniature train ride is fun and the scenery is lovely. However, a lot of the environs could use updating to make them more attractive, fun, and appealing. There's a large play park but there are plenty of lovely free parks to enjoy with your children. The maze is fun but quite limited. The food is very poor value and the ingredients are cheap. I ordered two sandwiches and these came without garnish and both my sons struggled to enjoy eating them. One sandwich had a cheaper supermarket style ham and the tuna looked like it had been thrown into the other sandwich. There was no salad or garnish with the sandwiches. I was disappointed to find cold anaemic looking bacon in my BLT roll. I just took it for granted this would be hot and freshly cooked.. The food was expensive.

Visited here for the first time today (depsite being locals). Was very sweet and a bit more laid back than other attractions near by. Entrance fee was good value for the unlimited train rides. Nicely maintained areas, lovely little play area. Friendly staff and plenty of places to sit. Picnics also welcomed and plenty of picnic areas to use in the playgrounds.
Kids really enjoyed themselves , although from our point of view it is much better for very young children (under 5). Unfortunately the toddler play ground was ruined somewhat by some unpleasant and unsupervised older children who spilt their ice creams in the playhouses and were generally quite unpleasant to other visitors.

The trains and kids park is excellent. It offers great value for money. If we went again we would buy the unlimited rides ticket.

Visited with daughter and grandson (aged 2) - friendly place built around the miniature steam train ride - few queues, toasted sandwiches nice, pleasant walk around the lake - toddlers play area rather spoilt by out of control non-toddlers and the maze could do with some weeding and general tlc - but an enjoyable half day out

Just reopened for 2019 it has been well updated during the winter closure. New equipment has been installed as well as the total refurbishment of the toddler area. It is nice to see money well spent on the play area with equipment of the best quality. There are plenty of picnic tables for adults to sit and keep an eye on their offspring! It is good to see what we’re muddy areas replaced with safe play surfaces. The Cafe still offers a good choice of snacks all at reasonable prices- with no increase on 2018.
This little oasis in Eastbourne is well worth a visit for families of young children. Staff friendly and informative and lovely to see it well used during the Easter holiday.

Several new pieces of play equipment and surfaces of ground surrounding play equipment have all been renewed to a high standard.2 trains running to cope with the holiday crowd. Food service excellent considering how busy it was.

The miniature steam train has been a must do every time we visit the area. The train is a wonderful activity to do with young kids and those who just love the steam train experience. It's a lovely ride, sitting on top of the little trains while enjoying the beautiful countryside. Staff are friendly, the Sussex cream teas are scrumptious and the playground and other kids areas are a lot of fun!

This is a real favourite with my family. The adults are impressed with the miniature railways and extensive gardens, the little ones love the train rides and outdoor play areas. The food and drink is fine and nicely priced. Top tip, come when it is dry, the maze can be a bit of a challenge when it has been raining. Well worth the visit!
