It was a great few hours out for us, specially enjoyed by our 2.5 year old grandson. He had two rides on the train with his grandad in between rain showers, but thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

We had a snack sat under the shelter as it was raining very hard. The children's meal was quite substantial, my husband enjoyed a jacket potato and I had a toasted sandwich which was cooked to order.

The only problem was lack of shelter due to the rain which I can see as being a problem if there were a lot of visitors. As our trip was late September we were lucky and managed to shelter.

My grandson and I always go to the Miniature Railway at least once in the summer holidays. We love riding on the steam train. Lots to do, a good family day out

Just a short ride from the caravan site. Our 2 yr old loved it. Make sure you take some 20p's to operate the model railways.

We have just renewed our 4th year of season passes here as we've brought our kids here since they were two as they love it so much. Train ride is fun for them with a very friendly driver and conductor. Play areas are always clean and tidy. Food is always well made and well priced. All round nice day out.

We visited today (09/10/16) on the way home from an overnighter in Eastbourne. The kids (20 months and 4 yrs) LOVED it....the highlight of their weekend. Loads to do...well equipped playground, a maze, open space....great for picnicing, lake with lovely landscaping, model trains etc....and of course the awesome miniature railway. There is a real feeling that this place is run by enthusiasts (i.e. It's not set up with the sole purpose of extracting money from you). We will definitely return!

Great value for your money. Geared towards the younger child. Lots of different things for keeping the young ones busy. Large play area, nature walk, and of course the steam trains. Not recommended in bad weather as all outdoors. Get the all day unlimited pass you can ride the train as many times as you like. You can even bring your own food. Well worth the visit.

On a lovely day at the end of August, we visited, for the second time, the well-kept Eastbourne Miniature Steam Railway and Adventure Park. I am so glad I bought unlimited tickets for the day as my boys just wanted to keep riding the trains.

Naturally, with great weather, it brought out the visitors turning into a busy day but never felt crowded. To accommodate visitors the team prepared a second diesel train, running alongside the steam engine, so you would never wait more than ten minutes for a ride. It made the whole experience especially pleasant.

The adventure play area also kept my little ones entertained for an hour or so before finding a spot to have our picnic.

Even though we were on our feet for several hours, it was quite simply a relaxing day and totally enjoyable.

So clean and tidy too. Good job guys!

I found it a lovely place to visit. We enjoyed the train ride with our 5 year old and 2 years old then a visit tot he model railway shed and a walk around the park. Only comment was that the model trains in the shed needed a dust (cobwebs) that's all.

The kids absolutely loved the miniature steam railway. It is set in a lovely setting and is a family run business. We enjoyed it and had a few rides around the scenic setting. Each ride around was for approximately 6 minutes so it is a good idea to go around a few times to take everything in. Good price for a family ticket for 4 (£18.50).

Well run family business, with polite & helpful staff. The biggest attraction is of course the amazing variety of steam trains & rides, small gauge electric working trains in show cases. As well as a well planned play areas,.It also caters for fishing on a large lake with beautiful walks round the lake.
Altogether a great entertaining day out for families & more reasonable price wise compared to other well known family entertainment parks in Sussex/Surrey.
BEWARE OF SEASONAL CLOSURE TIMES BY CHECKING WED SITE!

We arrived on a weekday just as it was opening and managed two loops of the train ride. There are some miniature train sets that you can pay 20p to watch and, there is also a large outdoor playground.

It was getting very busy when we left at about 1pm.

We took our youngest grandson during the school holiday. He is mad about "choo, choo trains" and we all enjoyed the open trip on the minature steam engine around the lake. We had bought a special ticket so we could do as many rides as we wanted.
Our grandson particularly enjoyed the shed with the fixed railways. You pay 20p a time to watch the engines going round and a step is provided for children to be able to watch easily.
There are set paths for walking around the lake and places to picnic where tables have been set out. There is a play area for children where they can climb, swing and slide. The park is clean and obviously run by steam engine enthusiasts. We had a great afternoon.

this is a must for the children up to the age of 75 years and maybe older like myself at 77 and a steam railway fan it was a good day out apart from the train ride there is a good nature walk with areas every so often to stop and the children can play there is also a maze but this is not either buggy or wheelchair friendly.
there is a café where the seating is outside all in all a great day out,and any fishermen out there there is a large lake to fish

Have taken the grandchildren here a couple of times - its worth paying the slightly dearer price around £6.00 I think as this means you can ride on the train as many times as the chikdren want to. Although asmall train adults sit on with the children and everything is in minature ie bridges etc. There is also places to picnic and walk and playparks - you can take your own food or buy there. Well worth a visit.

We've had annual family membership for about five years. Both my children love it and never tire of coming here. It's well run, simple, clean & very family friendly. Any child with an interest in trains will love it but even children who aren't as interested will still enjoy themselves.

Love this place and every time we go something different has been added. Very sake environment and good prices for a whole day's entertainment. Take a picnic or eat at their cafe. Just give it a try.

I would highly recommend this attraction. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, the place is spotlessly clean and my grand sons had a fabulous day out.

Took our 2yr old son there for the first time and I'm not sure which member of the family enjoyed it the most! The day we went, they were running a miniature diesel locomotive and a replica of the Flying Scotsman (steam). We only bought a single train ride ticket not knowing how much our son would like it. Next time we'll buy the unlimited ride entrance fee!! The food and drinks are good. Lots of tables for picnics. Nice walk round the lake (which can be fished by a member for a fee) A nice place to go to.

The Eastbourne miniature railway is a lovely place to visit for the younger ones, they have lots of things to do, parks, woodlands to explore and adorable wooden playhouses. We had a ride on the steam train which we really enjoyed. Only small negative was we had to leave early and miss the maze as my dad turned up and they wanted to charge him entry fee to have a cup of tea while he waited for us! It was 4pm so there was only an hour left of opening too... I didn't want him standing around waiting as hes disabled so we had to miss it and leave. Think that was quite bad to be honest.

I visited with my 10 month old daughter and had a lovely afternoon. There are two separate play parks for different ages and the baby swings went down a storm. The train ride was great and there is a lovely walk around the lake, garden and maze.

There are also model trains to look at which would be great for older children.

I never visited this attraction when I lived near here for some 30 years and am left wondering why, it is a beautiful place with a large lake in the middle and the miniature train runs around the outside of the lake. Steam and diesel trains are used on different days so worth checking the website to see which are running. The cafe does excellent teas and there are play areas galore for children. The walk around the lake is relaxing and not too difficult it being mostly flat.

Great place to spend half a day. Great miniature railway. Plenty of play areas, a maze & places to eat/drink. Recommend buying the unlimited train ride ticket.
Toilets were clean & well maintained, staff friendly & plenty of free parking.
Best of all, was the pricing. For a family of 5 it cost us £25. In my opinion great value.
We will definitely be coming back
