The pier closes down during the night, so our first night in Eastbourne we could not go further. However, we went on Saturday and it was lovely. There's fish and chips, a nice artisanal glass shop, some fair games, a Victorian tea house, and places to walk around.

It is really beautiful and nice to go around. You can only eat food bought in the place, you shouldn't take your dog (unless it is a guide dog). Seagulls were friendly/non threatening.

No visit to Eastbourne is complete without a walk down the pier, though the shops aren't too exciting. Makes a great subject for photos late in the day when the sun is going down.

Good place to take a stroll on a sunny day, or to grab fish and chips. Doesn't seem to be quite as much to do on the pier as there was before the fire a few years ago, but certainly still worth visiting as there are places serving refreshments and good views across the sea.

There are some shops on the pier selling hats n gifts, games arcades, fish n chip shop, other food stalls too, a pub possibly serving food at the end of the pier, plenty of outdoor seats and some picnic tables. You can walk all round the pier all the way to the end. It's a very well kept and maintained pier.
