Love the pier and always have to do a quick circuit when passing through. The open space is great on the pier. I'd like to see more local crafts and art on the pier. It is a great focal point but a shame that so much of the usual tat is on sale.

A good cafe/bar, great food would be a real bonus too. I've been photographing the pier for over a decade and it always brings a smile!

It's not a such a big pier. There are some food markets and some gambling things but that's nearly everything you can do there. I like the one in Brighton more but to chill and relax, the on in Eastbourne is also fine.

Nice Victorian tea room on pier not cheap but makes you feel oddly enough a bit special
the glass making shop is also fascinating and well worth a visit always feel totally at ease in Eastbourne no hustle or bustle like Brighton or Southend plus the fact they have some good tribute acts going along during ext few months showing on the seafront bandstand

Not a great deal to do on here since the fire took the main building but still nice to wonder around and get some fudge.

Shame they have decided to shut the end of the pier and do not allow you take any of your own food or drinks on it.
Arcades looked a bit tired
