Lovely place to walk and have a view over the whole of Eastbourne beach. Quite a few small arcades and racket shops also but the view is the reason for the points

The Pier has improved since fire destroyed the main hall which, was once a fine building but in its final years was only used as a slot machine arcade.
Under new ownership, the Pier is gradually being renovated and now looks better than it has for many years. It has many tourist shops, a jazz lounge and a tea room that is worth visiting for a cuppa, a sit down and a marvel at the enormous chandeliers that now hang there.
