It is winter so several places closed down, but still has inside crazy golf and amusements open, plus couple of gift shops and tea rooms. Have had afternoon tea there before, but not this time mainly because absolutely no indication of price visible from outside.Visited on

Absolutely lovely, events all year round are easy to spot from here, several benches and wonderful food places, either ice cream or chippy, you still will get attacked by seagulls,do not feed them and defend whatever you have with you, this place is also extremely good for pictures and photgraphers like me can easily find good spots on this pier for images, wait to get into the pier is often very short and food around here is high quality, you also have the arcade and golf area, which are also lovely, definitely reccomend

We came for Eastbourne air show!
The seafront came Alive for this and the jets and planes were amazing!
We had a walk along the pier and and ply in the arcades to escape the rain.
It was great with stuff to do. There were a couple of shops that had closed down and everything was a little tired and run down, but definitely worth a visit if you are in the area

Went on a windy, November day. Most of the shops and entertainment was closed. Was a nice bracing walk with great views of Eastbourne. Good pub at the end, but unlikely to spend more than an hour overall here, at least at this time of year.Visited on

Beautiful pier especially beautiful at sunrise over the sea. Unfortunately the sunset is behind the city.Visited on

Just a normal pier. It was terrible weather, but it's certainly nicer in the sun.Visited on

Good cafes and facilities, angling allowed at pier end, lots of places to rest and admire the views

The pier is the very symbol of the city. We see it everywhere from the promenade and it can only attract us.
Once there, disappointment can quickly set in:
Indeed, if the wind is too strong, the pier will be closed. At night, it is a meeting place for various drug addicts and depraved people.
And even once there, you shouldn't dwell on the details: the woodwork in poor condition, the wooden sheds, replaced by PVC structures, restaurants that are very unworthy of interest, etc.
In the end, only the view of the coast and the particular atmosphere of the place are worth the detour.
