Whilst visiting Eastbourne you've got to visit the pier, its a tradition i guess! We got some fresh cooked donuts from the shop at the pier entrance sat down on one of the picnic tables and then i got Mugged by a huge seagull that swooped down , quite expertly it must be said, and stole the whole donut from me, much to the amusement of my wife and the people on the other picnic tales! I bet pier security had a right old laugh on the CCTV about that! LOL!
The pier itself is undergoing some sort of restoration/ having new shops/ amusements fitted along the deck but its still nice to walk o the end as there's some superb views of Eastbourne to be had.

JUST BE CAREFUL OF THE ROBBING SEAGULLS EH!

Pier ok
Bar ok
Bought a waffle from the candy shop snd was appalled
Two young girls eating crisps and licking their fingers prepared the toppings and my waffle not once washing their hands, indeed I didn’t even see a washbasin

Don’t go there

Last Summer the pier was closed which was a bit disappointing. It is open now and we walked to the end to see the fishermen. Unfortunately many of the shop buildings are empty at the moment although the tea room was open. Worth a look but not a great deal to see.

Average place, there is a large amount of rubbish scattered around which lets it down. The chippy was out of chips when we visited.

Lovely scenery of the seafront in both directions, and if you are lucky like today seals were swimming in the sea!

Good place to wallk, and pleanty of seating. Victorian Tea room is a must for afternoon tea Small arcade at entrance to pier but that is all.

Glass shop on pier with pleanty of items to buy also a small souvenier shop which was open today.

Pier being done up so hopefully next year it will be worth visiting for a longer visit. IIt will be a greeatg tourist attraction when fully open.

I think this pier has suffered due to covid. Lots of empty shops and so not much life on it. Could be so much better. Good that you can listen to live music on a Sunday afternoon at the venue on the end of the pier

Nothing much to it but but if you in the area then have a walk down. Pub on the middle and an arcade that is fun for the kids. The track room at the beginning has gone and the building is empty. Like the colours of white and gold but locals say it looks like a mosque. Nice ice cream parlour at the beginning on left hand side.

Decent pier, plenty of attractions around it.
Not many fairs, rides on it like many other piers do. There is a fish and chips shop at the entrance (which does do vegan options too), another few bars down the pier with plenty of good view.
