Eastbourne pier is a beautiful place. Whether it's ice-cream, coffee, fish and chips, sitting and chilling, walking by the sea, eating a burger or having a beer, the pier has something for everyone.

Traditional pier, in good condition in the middle of a well maintained largely original seafront.
Ideal for a relaxed stroll, before watching the waves on the beach with a coffee from the converted phone box just by the entrance.

We only took a walk along its length. But our impressions follow.
The unoccupied spaces gives the feel of its being partially finished.
What is there ranges between the squalid little arcade (including a Zoltar fortune telling machine) and the almost classy looking (from the outside) cafe. I would like to think it will be nice when it is finished.
Its golden cuppolas help make it look attractive, particularly on a sunny day.
Am intrigued to know more about Sheikh Gulzar whose name is emblazened above the exit.
Finally, if you eat outside, seagulls WILL steal your chips.

What a lovely day out. The pier is architecturally beautiful, great food and beverage stalls. Plenty of clean loos and easy access to the sea. Wonderful. Parking a little pricey and in short supply

Lovely space. There was live singing. The beer was not costly. Ample sitting space. Food was good and nice.
