Wow!!!!! The best Greek food we´ve ever eaten and we´ve visited and eaten in Greece and Greek islands for many years
The food was good quality, fresh and served piping hot.

Despite our e-mail booking not actually working and it being very busy, the staff managed to seat five of us with a reassuring smile. The menu was varied, the food was delicious and reasonably priced. We were not rushed but neither did we feel that we were kept waiting. There were several large parties that evening also being catered for but staff seemed to take it all in their stride without appearing to be under pressure. Were were in Eastbourne for only a few days but I am sure we will re-visit when we find ourselves there again. This restaurant certainly deserves a high ranking.

We would have said it was the best Greek we had tried outside of Greece/Greek islands (having travelled there so many times) but we would go as far as to say, the best Greek we have ever eaten, anywhere!! The food was gorgeous!!! We received a very warm welcome, the staff were lovely, despite being very busy, they were never flustered but friendly, professional and very polite.
The food was amazing, we had the mezes which just kept coming and coming, the food was of good quality, fresh, piping hot and very authentic.The restaurant was bright, cheery and welcoming.
We cant wait to return and intend to be regular customers.

I came with a group of friends as a Christmas gathering. There were 10 of us and we had the meze. There were some meat and some vegetarian, but I am vegan and the staff were so great in adapting the vegetarian dishes so that I had a lot of choice in what to eat. The food was amazing and I even had the most delicious rich chocolate tart dessert to myself. Would definitely recommend.

Dropped in for lunch on the Saturday before Christmas and each ordered the lunchtime meze . Each dish was really fresh and piping hot, there was a perfect break between each dish, allowing us to digest and appreciate the gorgeous flavours. The house red really augmented it well.
As well as excellent food we also had such lovely service, despite it being so busy, each dish was explained and served with a smile. Thank you all for your hard work and consistently high standards, it is great to have you on the doorstep.

This was a special Greek night with live Greek music. Having lived in Crete for three years I can confirm that this restaurant serves traditional Greek food. The red wine is Cretan. Great atmosphere. Thank you Vasillis and staff for a great evening.

We had the Meze, which is an amazing amount of food for the price. Not only amazing price but fresh good quality food. Staff couldn't do more for us. There was a large number for us and we were in the downstairs part of the venue. Have already recommended this place to friends will definately be visiting again!

Absolutely love Gr/eat - food is vibrant, fresh, and oh so delicious. Since moving to Eastbourne this is one of our firm favourites - so much so we have eaten there several times in one week. Service is friendly, professional and prompt. Excellent quality, satisfying portions and very fair prices. Highly recommended.

Wow where do I begin! If you want a true authentic taste of Greece, then this is the place! The food is amazing, great flavours cooked to perfection! There’s a huge variety on the menu, the meze is a great example of that, various dishes for you to try from starters, right down to the deserts.
The staff are all lovely and very knowledgeable.
The Owner creates the perfect atmosphere with Greek music playing in the background and dimming of lights throughout the evening.
Definitely the best Greek restaurant Eastbourne has to offer!

The best Greek restaurant, having travelled to Greece many times we cannot compare another restaurant although they come close, the food is amazing especially the the warm pitta and mixed dips and no matter what we have chosen from the menu we have never been disappointed. The staff are very friendly especially the owner and his lovely wife. It’s always a fantastic night to visit gr/eat and cannot wait to go back

Recommended by my Wife's work colleague and our first visit. Food was excellent and service exemplary. Absolutely no problem with accommodating my Wife's gluten, wheat and dairy intolerance and I think I'll have what she had next time! Stuffed vine leaves were fab and we'd recommend the Chicken Souvlaki. I had Octopus followed by King Prawns and both were excellent. Neither of us had enough room for dessert - sadly! Our first visit, but certainly not our last. As others have said, we recommend booking - we didn't, so just struck lucky. Highly recommended Gr/Eat restaurant.

My wife and I are house hunting along the south coast and getting rather 'Punch Drunk' we decided to have a few days break in Eastbourne. Walking around we found Gr/Eat. Now this was November and nearly all the restaurants were closed or empty, or, if open, an odd table occupied. Gr/Eat was just about full, but they managed to fit us in. Thank goodness they did. This is another of those establishments where you can see into the kitchen. They seem to be getting all the rage at the moment. Being a retired caterer/Chef I do like it, looking right into the heart of the place. Makes me feel rather nostalgic. Anyway enough of me. What about Gr/Eat? Very good, not hard to see why it was full in winter. I had a wonderful pork skewer and my wife had chicken in a cream and wine sauce. It can be hard to describe good food. Good food is good food. When the Chefs under me produced a dish and it was cooked correctly, seasoned properly, I just said 'good, carry on'. If it wasn't, then that's another story! Well Gr/Eat cooks food to a very high standard.
